It is getting worse. My technique is poorer these days than a few years ago. However, I have a condition where I often feel like a lump in my throat, and it makes me hoarse. This has challenging consequences for my technique.

Sorry in advance for the short novel, I just felt the need to share my experience because of how much personal growth I have seen within myself, ON TOP of songwriting and my voice! Thank you for highlighting how normal it is to get anxious before doing singing, or doing something new, even if it isn’t completely new to us. I can apply this to more than just singing! 🌈🫶🏼 I absolutely love the way you symbolize this gremlin voice and the feeling we can get as something physical, this has also helped me give visual meaning to this scary thing that just happens, even to the best of the best! Connecting this gremlin as a part of a natural system set up in our bodies and brains to protect us, has helped me look at it as less of a threat, and more of a protection suggestion that I’m allowed to tell to buzz off! 👹 🤪🐝 I have been in a transient space here for a while now, and have been battling all sorts of gremlins, not just the singing ones! I am working on normalizing this feeling, and doing the dang thing with that feeling! Do things scared AND know that my best is enough, knowing I will improve with more practice. Sometimes it goes away, sometimes I consider and put meaning behind the feeling, and sometimes I still gotta fight the gremlin a bit after the fact 🙃🤣 🙏🏼 If I could make a suggestion for some topics I would love to hear you discuss/ talk about is your favorite vocal warm ups and practice techniques for recording vs performing! Also! I may have asked this before, but what do you suggest doing to prepare for a lesson with you?! Thank you again!! I love your videos and you are amazing!! 💜😊

Omg I’ve been obsessed with all of your you tube vocal magic content. I was very stuck for eight months of private vocal lessons. I binge watched all of your content and it was so helpful. Went to my private vocal lesson last week and my teacher m I don’t know what you did differently but you are suddenly doing it all right. I didn’t tell her but it was YOU who transformed me!
