Can a Family of 5 Enjoy a Holland America Cruise? Full Tour and Review of Holland America Koningsdam
Our family of 5 spent 9 nights on this ship in January 2023. We weren't sure what to expect so we wanted to make a video of our experience to help others. We discuss entertainment, food, staterooms, and more. Follow our channel for more cruise content!!

You did a great job with this video - thank you! You should definitely make more content!
Please do B.C. ferries!!!
Hello, do you remember what room you were in? We want to go on this ship but are finding it very difficult to book a family ocean view that is not "Obstbted View" Do you have any advice from when you booked? -Thank you hope to hear back!
Thank you for posting this video. I was also researching for family oceanview room. Your review is so informational. BTW, was the stateroom quiet enough for you. I believe it is on deck 1 and deck 2 has some restaurants.
Thank you so much for your support, we really appreciate it! We were on deck one, and it worked great. We had noisy room neighbours on one side, so at night we sometimes heard them, but overall it was totally fine! Have you booked yet, or are you still shopping around?
We just got off the Zaandam for 14 day cruise through the Panama Canal. In my opinion HAL continues to go downhill. Food, entertainment, paid WiFi was horrible and not worth the extra cost, dropped ports all were below par for HAL. The best part of trip was the staff. They were awesome and felt they were trying to makeup for all the ship lacked. Surprised by number of people who could not move around ship. People coughing all the time and some not covering mouth when coughing! We both got sick while onboard 4 days into cruise.
That sounds really frustrating, I'm sorry to hear that! What cruise line do you find the best?
wife and i recently got back from a Holland 18 day trip. personally this was like being in assisted living facility, we did rent one of the top cabana areas which helped. but the sheer number of people with mobility issues and the crew caught up in dealing with them was mindblowing. if you can be self sufficient you can but for us it took effort and made the trip a bit exhausting.
I can definitely see this. It was a VERY different atmosphere than the other cruises we have been on.
Thank you for this video. This is very helpful! I was looking to book this cruise this summer to Alaska and was trying hard to see if 5 of my family could fit into one room. This gave me some good details.
Thank you so much for the support, it means a lot to us! Let us know if you have anymore questions, we would be more than happy to help ❤
Thank you for posting your video. Our family will be on the Koningsdam cruising to Alaska this summer. I was nice to hear your perspective.
Thank you so much for the support, we really appreciate it! I hope you have a great time on the cruise, let us know how it goes!! :)
