GPD Pocket 2 10W TDP CS:GO FPS Test Gameplay
มุมมอง 7084 ปีที่แล้ว
Recorded with OBS using hardware preset, 3500 bitrate. Average FPS is around 60-70 when NOT recording with OBS. Battery dropped from 100% to 70% after this video, very impressive! Microphone was left on while this recorded, sorry for the weird audio!
GPD Pocket 2 10W TDP Minecraft FPS Test Gameplay

Recorded with OBS with hardware preset, not software. Average FPS when not using OBS is about 20-30 higher than while recording. Battery dropped 5% during this gameplay. Not bad considering we're running at 10w!

Differences between GPD Pocket 2 Models, Watch before buying!
มุมมอง 7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Quick guide on the different GPD Pocket 2 models. I made this video in hopes that I can help demonstrate the specification difference between the different GPD Pocket 2 models, since GPD's website is a bit lacking.

I spent 3 days looking for a plugin like Citadel, and I found your plugin, I just gotta say thank you so much for making this plugin public, and still updating it to this day, absolute lifesaver! PS: when you reinforce a storage block, can other people open it? I saw that in other servers using Citadel they arent able to open chests if theyre not in a specific group, and I'm curious if thats also the case here.
Thanks for using my plugin! Currently, reinforcing a block does not affect modification of any type, including accessing chests. You can open a pull request on the GitHub project page if you'd like features added. I try to keep this plugin up to date and work on it. Life has been busy so it's been a while since I've worked on it.
@@trevor99z ah, thats not too bad, but would be a cool feature, this plugin is still such an amazing plugin either way, and I appreciate that you still work on it when you can even if you're busy irl
@@trevor99zbtw do you still check github? I found a pretty bad issue when testing it and sent an issue in the github page
This runs better than my pc where I have to use and 8 bit texture pack to get these results (WITH OPTIFINE)

dude im tech illiterate. i got the amber black model, should i do this ? i play zombie panic source and css
Research your model for a guide. You can do everything in this video except the ThrottleStop part. You'll have different numbers for that.
Hey dude did yoy manage to do something with the amber black have the same one and i tried last time with a moded version of throttle stop and it didnt work. Did you manage to increase the tdp by any chance?
So it gets a stable 50 FPS max while running? How does it do with explosions and medium settings?
Take a look at the description (:
pretty cool device lol I'm never buying that Sooner I will change my mind lol
Runs Dragon ball Kakarot and Zelda BTW ?
Whats that one button with chinese wording on the keyboard?
By default it will be the ~/` key
Throttlestopping doesn't seem to make a big difference in benchmarks, and absolutely no difference in games, am I doing something wrong? I did all of the values that you did, but some of them I pushed higher. I'm seeing like 10% more performance at best. Also, instead of creating extra profiles in throttlestop, can I just click the stop button when I don't need the extra performance?
Did you remove the Intel Thermal Framework from device manager and install the registry file I linked in the comments that will make it stop installing itself? If you don't do those steps, the CPU will throttle itself at anything barely over default TDP. And yes, you can set a default profile and just click on the default profile when you don't need the extra performance.
I know this might be a dumb question, but is there a way to just force the fan to go 100% so the CPU will boost higher?
Great video. Thinking of getting one of these. One question which wasn't highlighted, what is the screen resolution and is windows desktop as easy to see as on a large mobile phone? Thanks
You know that the celeron is not much worse than M3 CPUs only without HT and is stuck at 1.5ghz instead of 900mhz that boost to 2.2ghz (one core). So for some apps that use 2 cores the performance is not that much different. But games that need 4 cores or more can be affected by this but those don't run that well anyway of these machines.
nice playing bro........the game runs good on this settings thats so cool
Celeron was the second version.
can i setup (format) windows 7 ROG 64 bit on the gpd pocket 2 ????
hi dude, i am making a server and your plugin is the heart of it, i am here to ask about the 1.16 that earn a release date for 23 jun, and i wonder when your going to update the plugin please contact me and keep going with your great job
Hello, sorry for the super late reply, I just released an update for 1.16.5.
which shaders is this?
BSL Shaders
Not interested in gaming and torn between the celeron and the m3-7Y30, confusing as m3-7Y30 model I'm looking at now claims 8GB ram. Would the Celeron give longer battery life? EDIT: presumably not as it draws more power?
Hey there, so as far as power draw, you're probably going to be looking at relatively the same between the 7y30 and Celeron models. If battery life is a major concern for you, you could always underclock which I (kind of) explain in the video. If I wasn't planning to play games, personally it would be a close call but I think the Celeron model might be the best pick solely because the drive speed and size.
@@trevor99z Thanks, and thanks for the video!
Both the Celeron and the m3-7y30 in the GPD Pocket 2 has a set TDP of 4.5w, so battery life would not differ much. However, the turbo boost will really improve performance. Even if you weren't gaming, it'll still help with productivity tasks like processing a lot of data in Excel, or doing conference calls in Zoom where someone is screen sharing (it taxes the CPU of my GPD Pocket 1 to a point that I always need to reboot, sometimes mid-call. But my m3-6y30 Intel CS325 and GPD Win 2 can handle those tasks just fine). Only purchase the Celeron model if you are after media consumption, light web browsing, etc. But if you can afford it, always go for the m3. As to between the 7y30 or 8100, if there's a big difference in price, go for the 7y30. The Pocket 2 can't take advantage of the additional turbo boost frequency of the 8100y anyway.
Owning the Celeron Version of the Pocket 2 I have to say your video is a bit misleading. The gaming performance is quite good due to the dual channel RAM. Playing Oblivion in medium to high settings while maintaining 30fps most of the time. SSD speed is really good as well. I think price-performance-ratio is very good with the amber black model.
Hi
Great video
i miss the old Mang0
I miss the old mang0
What’s the thing in the top left
Fps, a angle indicator (i think so) and an entity counter
Epic
FORGOT TO ADD: After you remove Intel Thermal Framework, install this .reg file: bradshacks.com/disable-dptf/ Also, in ThrottleStop, under the FIVR button, click "Install" under the memory category on the right side, and enable "Disable and Lock Turbo Power Limits"
You should boost the audio levels some
Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely do that next video.
Yeah, can barely hear what he's saying even with my speakers at max.
Very good video
9:16 you said 7y30 instead of 8100y
You're totally right that's my bad
