That's a good solution. I'll share a video on optimizing your auto furnace to avoid burning unnecessary wood.

Make new resources while you are gone and can possibly die with your items on something like a raid. Basically a machine that does crafting while you’re away

I'm glad you liked the tutorial. I use a similar system at my base to keep certain numbers of Syringe and Bandage in the medicine box. So if I take few stacks, it automatically produces new ones. You can use it for other materials as well like ammo, clothes, armor etc.

The current system doesn't automatically stop burning wood when you run out of ores to smelt. However, there is a way to optimize the system to achieve this, and I plan to make a video explaining it soon. Stay tuned!

Thanks for pointing that out! I forgot to mention that detail in the shorts, but I explain it in the full video. Here's how it works: The timer will prevent that from happening. Set the timer to 3 seconds, and it will keep the igniter on for 3 seconds before turning it off. This way, your igniter will have an extended life compared to keeping it burning continuously.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I use different conveyors for different ores with wood/ore ratio while playing the game. But your system sounds better, since it uses only 2 conveyors. I'll definitely give it a try This was a beginner video and optimizing the wood/ore ratio will be in my future videos for efficiency.

Don't you also need a conveyor to pull the completed outputs? Your system needs 3 conveyors then.

they removed the hitboxes for the industrial adapter a few updates ago
