Nintendo refuses to have anything to do with this game, but I see it being rewritten into a Metroid game. One of the changes I would make to it apart from purging the body fluids and adult language is replace the movie references with callbacks to other Nintendo games, especially the rest of the Metroid series.

I think the professor might be a reference to Dr. Strangelove since he has a wheelchair and a German accent, that might be a stretch though

I think know a reference that wasn’t listed. When Fangy walked out of the gate, reminded me of the scene where the rancor does the same thing in Star Wars return of the Jedi.

5:45 immediately reminds me first ever level of Sonic Adventure (1999), Emerald Coast. Might be an influence here.

Man, the cinematography and storytelling in this game was so ahead of its time. Being 28 now, I’m glad the 8 year old me randomly picked this game from a pawn shop in Mexico 20 years ago. The memories I have of this game, both playing with cousins on multiplayer mode to diving into its main story will never be forgotten for sure.

Back when triple A games actually where unique and fun.

Which is sad 'cause that's one of the only references across the game I would even recognize (I am waaaaaay too young for a lot of these lol) but nope, flew right over my head. Just figured it was Tediz being Tediz lol

Dann it's kind of intense when you think about Conker's life. In the timespan of probably only a few days he's: (Spoilers below incoming) Gotten tanked(several times) Stumbled his way around only to wake up in a random place hungover Killed a massive Gargoyle. Stole back a nest for a queen TWICE. Fought a terminator. Fought a big pile of shit. Practically went toe to toe with Jaws Travelled to a Prehistoric Land before blowing said land up. Fought in and survived a coliseum. Met and killed dracula all while becoming a bat, himself Fought against zombies Fought in a war, successfully won said war, and escaped with his life and became a Veteran Went into the Matrix(sorta) and did a heist, ultimately becoming a millionaire Went into space and unfortunately lost his girlfriend Beat a massive dangerous alien And became a king. ALL while both meeting and avoiding death. In the timespan of a few days this guy has lived more than I could probably ever HOPE to do.

I don’t see that Conan the Babarian reference in the beginning. It’s similar but not a direct reference in my opinion.

I never got any one of the other movie references myself, but the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory reference was pretty obvious.

Having grown up with Samurai Jack and Avatar, I can't get over the fact Mako was the narrator for Conan the Barbarian. Insane people best remember him for his later work. Rip Mako Also, it's insane how reference heavy this game is. Not like it aged badly, just that going into this game and then most of the films after is jarring. Like how the opening for Clockwork Orange caught me off guard. Yeah, this entire comment shows my age. Lmao
