But will one tell them at the embassy that the organization will be paying for your tuition?
@@lydiaaudu1099 I am not too sure about that but I believe that’ll be the case. I’m truly. It sure about that.
@@ZainabAgbaje but as an undergraduate student Can one use bank statements for visa interview and I-20 then apply for the loan after the visa is approved since it might be difficult to be approved as an undergrad student taking loan.
@ I think the better option would be to do that. I think if you have a bank statement that shows you can pay for med school, that’ll be even better.
@@ZainabAgbaje I'm not actually going for med school, it's pre med
@ oh so that’s perfect then!
How do I find shadowing and clinical opportunities?I find that my f-1 status makes it hard because everyone keeps asking me for ssn.
Hello! There are two ways you can go about this. 1. You can try to get your ssn by applying for jobs on campus. 2. You can talk to friends and family members if they know a physician that’s interested in allowing students shadow then. This will mostly be in clinics not necessarily in big hospitals. I hope that helps!
You’re so inspiring. Thank you so much for this video especially as a Nigerian. I’m going to uni in Ohio this next spring semester as a premed in Nursing with a minor in biochemistry.

Hi hope all is well just wanted to ask how you went about volunteering and shadowing on a student visa? Thanks
Hello! I volunteered through the programs available with my school. And I shadowed my cousins’ pediatrician. But you can also search online for clinics that can take on shadowing for student. Your visa does not affect ability to shadow or volunteer. You shouldn’t be asked about visa stuff for those experiences. I hope that helps.

Nice video Please ma’am my bachelor degree is in plant science and biotechnology, will you advice me on going for a masters program in biology?
Hello! Sure! You can go for a master in biology. The focus will be a little different from what you had with plant science and biotechnology but it’s doable. It also depends on what you want to do with the masters degree.
@@ZainabAgbaje Alright, thank you ma’am. I want to use the master degree to apply for mbbs in USA. Hope USA mbbs program is 4yrs?
@@Learning11357The USA does the MD (Graduate entry doctoral route) degree instead of the MBBS. Countries like the UK does the MBBS (Undergraduate Route)
@@pryelda Alright, so for the UK route, can I get into medicine with a bachelor degree?
@@Learning11357 Yes, it is possible to get into an MBBS program in the UK with an undergraduate degree. Several schools in the UK offer a graduate entry route into the MBBS program, which shortens the duration of the program. To be eligible, you must meet the prerequisites and other entry requirements listed on the schools' websites. Similarly, pursuing an MD degree in the USA with an undergraduate degree is also doable. You need to ensure that you have met all the prerequisites (which can be found on the schools' websites), taken the MCAT, and have some clinical, volunteer, or shadowing experience, as she mentioned in her previous videos. Not all US medical schools admit international students into their MD programs, so you would need to check which schools do. When choosing between these two options, consider where you want to practice. If you aim to practice in the US, taking the MD route is advisable. This involves taking exams such as the USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK, and considering the chances of matching for residency. However, if you wish to practice in the UK, pursuing the MBBS route will prepare you for the PLAB exam and make the process smoother.

Hello, I did not write my MCAT exam in Nigeria. I wrote it in USA. There are no locations in Nigeria. th-cam.com/video/6nZdw99WJMg/w-d-xo.html I explained in this new video.
@@ZainabAgbaje thank you
I think you've answered my questions from one of your videos.... so what am suprised about now is that i had someone who has once worked as a lecturer in one of the usa universities about furthering from my senior secondary completion straight to usa to study medcine/medical school i was told i would ne needing 10million naira this was a last year... 2022 question... so was so surprised to see your calculations to be close to 3million..... any light you put in this please?
Hello, I am not sure I am the best person to answer this question. I did not go straight from secondary school to med school. I did undergraduate degree then applied to med school. The cost of applying to med school is different from the cost of completing undergraduate degree. I hope that helps.
Congratulations to you miss.... glad on your success so far... glad to get an experience from a nigerian as me....... All in ine wanted to ask if someone can be doing side hustling with medical school ongoing simultaneously?..... looking forward to your response
Hello! Thank you! It is possible to have a side hustle while in school. But a lot of people pay for rent food and other stuff with loans, scholarship or just out of pocket.
Congratulations on being done with your second year!!!
Thank you!!! 🤍
Zainab is back 🎉🎉🎉
I'm so happy to be back!!!!
Hey, I saw your previous video about the trials you faced getting into medical school and I think we are very similar regarding our premed experiences. Could I possibly have your email so I could ask a couple of questions, let you know about my situation, and ask for some advice about some things? I truly admire the work you've put in and I hope to see myself in a similar position in a few years. Long story short, I got to school in Pennsylvania on an F1 visa, I recently joined a research lab, and I have shadowing experience in Nigeria at a prestigious hospital in Lagos and hope to gain some more soon through my EMT connections at our nearby hospital, I currently am an LA (Learning Assistant) but I was given the opportunity to TA for that same professor this coming fall. Please let me know what you think and I would really appreciate your thoughts and tips
Hello! I am so sorry for the delayed response, are you able to send me a message on instagram? Zainabagbaje__
When did you submit your application, when did you submit your secondaries, and when did you interview?
Hello, I apologize for the delayed response. I submitted my application early June. started on my secondary applications as soon as I got the request to complete them. i made sure to complete them within 1-2 weeks of receiving them. This is really motivating. I'm a fellow international student too and it's hard finding resources for international students! Have you done research on residencies and how that's going to impact your process as an F-1 student?
Hello! Thanks for your comment. Yes, I have been thinking about residency and how my immigration status might affect my application. But, I don't think it makes a huge impact, I just have to find residency programs that accept international students.
Can you go into more depth on how loans work and how to apply? I start med school in a few months and I have so so many questions.
