I still think humans are more difficult haha. But, seriously. Husky's are a very strong willed breed. Well done on what you have achieved so far. How I've done it with dogs like that is identifying what they do hold to high value. There is always something which can be used as a reward. Even if it is something which is not practical in the real world, we can condition a secondary reinforcer of "Good" or a clicker with that then use it for training and behaviour. It is possible, even when it is challenging. Mostly I have seen this with Husky's, Chow's and ex-street dogs who basically just liked doing their own thing. But, every dog is different and this can overcome any breed trait. Different techniques within the up to date methodology can and should be used to meet the needs of those individuals.

@@noble.canine agreed, I picked my husky up off the street lol. I have been training her with a clicker as well as a slip lead. If I tell her to sit and she doesn't even though she knows the commands well,, in her mind, she doesn't have to listen to me so there are no consequences. She tests me with stuff like this every day. it's a very strong give and take. I didn't know this getting a husky but mine is extremely active and energetic so she has to burn off that energy every day or she will get into something she's not supposed to. The hardest part of having her is keeping up with the level of activity she needs. But when she gets that activity then she acts great.
