How much damage to the rocks will these mod lasers do versus small or med lasers? Update: I finally purchased 6 of these for my Cutter, and they are awesome!! The heat never goes over 40% with them all going! It's a little slower mining than 4 med lasers, but the (12) limpits grab so fast that I can just keep mining more rocks. I think these out perform the mining lances I used to have. Great idea to get these!! o7

Love it!! I wish I could play Odyssey, but I am but a lowly PS4 player. That said, I love the Clipper body kits! I bought them myself around Thanksgiving when they were discounted. Now I just want the Python kits. o7 Commander "Pimp!"

No major axi content is gonna hurt the ax side of the game and its not the same as colonization so they need to add another combat loop somewhere this year i think.

Did this get nerfed? I'm under Archer trying to get the pacifiers as well and I saw this rare-goods trade method in a few guides, but when I tried selling the rare goods from Arque, Leesti, and Diso (which are about ~190ly away) in both acquisition and reinforcement systems I didn't get any merits whatsoever.

It goes by sell price/profit I think, not really distance.

Excellent video, but at the trading section near the end you really should have mentioned to people to stick to horizontal trades unless you have no choice. At 24:39 your trade gets you 27 nickel (Grade 1) for 1 tellerium (grade 4) , whereas your next trade at 25:01 gets you *only 9* carbon (G1) and cost **two** antimony (G4). That 2 antimony would have been 54 lead (G1) in the same row vs the puny 9 carbon.

i got a route between Altair (where i parked my carrier) and Ancermoten... i get 95 of altairian skin each trip back and forth to my carrier. Used a fast small ship that could get 95 cargo obv. 5 trips later, i have 475. I then send the carrier the 160 or so LY to Ancermoten where i sell the whole 475 in my cutter and received 11.2k merits. The whole thing took about an hour. Oh and my power is Li Yong Rui btw

With nearly 50b in the bank you've done your share (with 6b, I'm 44b less experienced) but will still ask -- why didn't you swap out the 4E LS for a lighter one? That in itself could net a few light years.... That 5A limpet controller could have been swapped for a 3A as well, saving mass. Curiously, no SCO drive either. That helps with HGE collection, among other things. The build appears un-even and inefficient for the purpose intended.

Is not the distance, it helps, but is the total gross value the one that raise the merits, higher the gross sell, higher the merits, for now Soontill Relics is the best in that, sell it at more than 150ly, and for that same 752 tons you probably get more than 15000 merits. It looks that is 1000 merits for every 1 millon credits of the gross sell.

From what I've seen this far for power play 2.0, the number of merits is directly connected to the sale price of the rare goods (like Diso Ma Corn). As you note in the video, the sale price for rare goods increases with the distance to the source where you bought the goods. Many years ago the prices of rare goods got capped at the 200 ly distance, it may still work like that. Are you sure the goods need to be bought at one of your power's systems?

Soontil Relics are better than Diso corn for merits per hour... as long as it's further away.

Advice for players who dont have a carrier?

Great video. As a veteran space trucker I do know that locations matter very little after the supply demands are reached. Rare goods for merits will work until hopefully the Thursday tick, then you might have to switch locations? Since that system has been secured/standing increased or whatever. Don't know if the merits are increased for work towards a system that is in danger of a power struggle over one that is a stronghold/fortified. Anyways, thanks!

How many minutes are you putting in per merit? I've found 77 merits per minute on some routes I'm doing. Edit okay you got about 132 per minute after mathing that.

Sorry, running away on the first hyperdiction works just like logging out. You WILL make that second jump. There is no need to log out.
