OverANDing: Does ANDing encourage us to max out?
What we love about ANDing is synthesizing our interests, personalities, cultures and experiences into a swirling, gorgeous human that is you. But does that variety implicitly encourage overdoing it? We've heard from many ANDing-curious listeners that they worry an emphasis on ANDing encourages busyness and maxing out the calendar with an ever-growing list of to-dos.
So, does it?
Erika and Producer Tim sat down to talk through that very question, recorded as a winter special just in time for these very busy holidays.

Of Muppets, ground-truthing and jazz: An interview with Eric Small
มุมมอง 212 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Beyond a wild ride of an interview, Eric Small gifted us a new favorite word that describes his hydrological research on water, energy and carbon budgets of the Earth's surface-ground-truthing. On today's episode, Eric explosively (i.e., like a Muppet) walks us through the practice of matching on-the-ground maps with satellite data. Beyond the sheer hilarity of his and Erika's conversation, wha...
Building bookshelves of connections-Charles Eagan

Empathy is trending again-we are reminded in venues as wide as SNL sketches and self-improvement podcasts that growing our capacities to step into another’s point of view and feel their perspective brings boons to our interpersonal, professional and emotional lives. The practical work of looking for opportunities to empathize often goes unsaid or appears trickier to realize. Today’s guest, thou...

Bringing change and finding community along the way: Eswari Duggarala
มุมมอง 212 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Activists have expressed that the work of changing oppressive structures requires tirelessness and strength. When we consider how this looks lived out, striking photos and stories of campus protests, marches and sit-ins focused on a given issue come to mind, but how do communities come together to advocate for change? Today's guest, Eswari Duggarala (she, they), is the co-founder of Students Ag...

When words become you: Julie Carr
มุมมอง 1212 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
After reading a poem out loud, we hope you've had the experience of inexplicably welling with emotion. Be it joy, grief, adoration for beauty or those emotions harder to describe, we've found these literary experiences can dramatically alter our points of view. But why? What in tightly written pieces of prose causes us to shiver with goosebumps, weep or smile ear-to-ear? Julie Carr is an award-...
Love what was. Live into what will be: Francois Baptiste
12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Nostalgia can be tricky business. Love of the past can lead to a slowing stasis of the people we are/were or our refusal to let relationships evolve. But remembering places and experiences can fill us with warmth or teach us to live into our respective nexts. Today's guest beautifully threads that balance. Francois Baptiste is co-founder of the company 3DEEP Productions, and he has built a succ...

Beautiful!
Wow so impressive
❤
The music gets in the way of the movie. Too loud and annoying
Thanks for that feedback! I sent your note along to the filmmaker to consider for future versions.
'PromoSM' 🤦
Amazing!
this helped out a bunch. thanks
My son is applying to CU to APS as undergrad. We came across this and it’s so inspiring. Talking about the big questions resonated with him. For me, the part about “and then I got fired” is endearing.
Watching this today. I can clearly hear you explain at around minute 37, the idea of why these Hamas terrorists kill children and babies. They are aiming for that horrific idea of cleansing. I might be wrong but listening to you that is all I can think of now. And that this horrific violence is not going to end there. Unfortunately, there are probably jihadists in every country

Young people don't know the possibilities that exist in space mission operations. Thanks to LASP for opening eyes - the Laboratory for Atmostpheric Science and Physics at Colorado University. Gosh! She failed at coding and went back to learn coding. Inspirational, for sure!
My niece…so PROUD. 💛
Look at Kacie, so inspirational - A member of the Fine Arts contingent

Hi I wonder if you have a video clip of the commencement of Spring 2012 of math department...please. I graduated back then...if you have one, please up-load. It will be one of the treasures of my life.
Hi Luke. Thanks for your note! We'll dig into this a bit more to see if it was recorded.
@@cuartsandsciences Thank you! I will be looking forward to it. I appreciate it.
"...create a really sophisticated object with just a pen and paper, no talent really required." This is, perhaps, the greatest lesson I have learned - regardless whether it's the world of art or any other!
congrats to everyone watching this!
thank you, the same goes for you!
Thank you Aidan! We look forward to meeting you soon!
Thank you! The same to you as well!

These are Common structures, in the Himalayas as well, particularly at range front.
As a friend of Marian and Larry Fincher (Izzy's grandparents) this was a thrill to hear and watch....thank you
She's so accomplished and a great find from a success storytelling perspective, but this video is BORING. It does not do her accomplishments justice.
Colorado Arts and Sciences Magazine are you going to sell any clones? I love cottonwoods there my favorite tree
Colorado Arts and Sciences Magazine I live in New York and we had a huge Easter cottonwood that lived 300 years but it had to be removed. The Plains is prettier than Eastern.
