@@adamwest8711 hahaha sometimes I just give up
Looks a great place.keep up the videos mate.lets hope we all have a good season ahead.
@@robinbeavan5152 thankyou so much

Great job fella good boy
Last year I had a hive coming out of winter that had a lot of bees and consumed a lot of fondant compared to the other two, the queen became a DLQ whilst the other hives are doing amazing 🐝
@aidan4158 this is what I always worrie about mate
I agree they are the best kept secret.
Our hives were active on 11th jan due to 11deg temp they were clearing the bees that had died all hives had a few.all looked healthy though.a few were doing their first flights flying in ever increasing circles till they dissappear.
@@robinbeavan5152 amazing to sit there and just watch them isn’t it
And there I wS waiting for the 'hellloo' and got 'hi' 😅 Hope bees are all ok

Great work brother 💪🏼
@@Philipkeeling thx Phil
Sorry I don't know your name but what do you do regarding taking notes? I have a number under each hive and save notes on my phone but this year I've made my crown boards out of basically white board so will just jot notes down under the roofs
@@Cubrider I’ve got numbers on each individual hive… but I got to be honest I keep most of it in my head. I keep promising to start writing things down. It would help if I did. My names (Paul).
@DenbeeHoney I'll look out for you at Telford if your going but I'm sure you will be.
I read the title of the video and thought I'd see myself....
@@stevenmahers1893 hahaha
I have 13/14 colonies and just bought the lyson 20 frame spinner. I know Lawrence said if you want to keep it an enjoyable hobby keep it under 20 hives or it becomes too much work. I also have been thinking of either double brood or 12x14, i sided on 12x14 but in the end im going to try to syick with a single brood national because you will loose a supers worth of honey in the extra room. Granted it cuts down feeding but honey is more valuable and if big keepers like Gruff only use 1 brood box then im sure it must be ok. Maybe try it on 1 or 2 colonies and do a comparison throughout the season. It would make an interesting youtube topic that i dont think ive seen anyone else do and trust me ive seen hundreds of hours of bee videos lol
@@Cubrider great write up thankyou.
Class as always Mr Hind
@@Philipkeeling thankyou sir
Thank you ☺️
We will see you there 👍
We are!! seeing you there
I'll see you there.
Bro I love you, be motivated to do more videos❤❤❤
@VolkovFreetime that’s very kind of you. Thankyou so much
So glad you like it ❤
@@SimplyBeeutifulHoney it was amazing thankyou
It looks nice where you are with the snow, it's currently 11°C and raining hard here.
@aidan4158 slowly disappearing here now mate
-1 C---freezing🤣😂 PPE-- so British😉 anyway nice job, hello from Slovakia.
@@tristann217 Hi Slovakia. One inch of snow and the UK will come to a stop 🤣
I have been in London in february 2009,was heavy snowing in the night from 1st to 2nd of february.I was walking from my work from Trafalgar Square to Leyton for 4 hours completly wet,was dark, cold no map no english...no underground,no bus,no taxi, traffic collapsed. London was buried in snow for 36 hours but people where very happy lots of them never saw the snow before 😅
@ I agree with you. We don’t really get much snow anymore. We love the snow here at Denbee honey. We have about an inch this morning and the fields and trees look beautiful
I use a swienty bee suit for inspections in the summer and I have recently bought a Simon the beekeeper jacket for checking the fondant in the winter.
@aidan4158 good idea. It’s easier just to put a jacket on for winter inspections 👌🏻👍🏻
Have you upgraded your abelo hive stand?
@@Sibec11 they are Abelo hive stands 👌🏻🐝👍🏻
@DenbeeHoney, are your using 4x2's on it. The other one looks like standard 3x2 cls on it?
@ yes indeed… I just had to cut the rails down to fit in the stands
How much honey 2024
@@pisanggoreng6789 we did quite well to be very honest how about you?
The website looks good
@aidan4158 thankyou so much
Love the videos - but do not ever mention crocs again !!!!!
@@Philipkeeling I’ll buy you some Phil
Nice setup. Something very addictive about beekeeping. Good luck with the new year.
@@robinbeavan5152 thankyou so much. We try our hardest to get it perfect for the bees. Good luck in 2025 🐝
Great idea and I like your website. I'm a keeper in Mansfield and it's great to see local honey at a fair price.
@@Cubrider thankyou so much. My daughter made the website for us. It’s fully coded so very bespoke for Denbeehoney. We shall keep adding things to it as we grow and grow.
@DenbeeHoney are you in Denby?
@ no mate we are in the West Midlands
@@DenbeeHoney thankyou for bidding on the hat for my wife's charity marathon Denbee honey. I saw your bid come up in the captions.
@@Cubrideryou are very welcome ❤
The stands are looking good, I think the stand that will hold 5 colonies (4:29) will need support in the middle.
@aidan4158 yes I agree mate. Maybe some blocks or something
Great website
Thankyou so much
Merry Christmas to you Paul. Enjoy your day.
@@HoneyMarketingBoard thankyou. You too
Love the videos pal 👍🏼 would love a visit to the wood and see the Bee set up
@@Philipkeeling you are very welcome anytime mate

Lovely mate just subscribe 👍
@@thecavemanhunter616 thankyou so much
@DenbeeHoney no problem bud keep the good work up mate 👍
No attendants?
@@44birdie44 sorry can you explain?
@DenbeeHoney were there any other bees in the queen cage? When I bought queen this year, there were other bees in the cage with here. The non-queen bees are called attendants.
@@44birdie44 oh ok I see what you mean. Sometimes I take the attendants out sometimes I don’t. I’m really not sure it makes a difference to be honest.
@DenbeeHoney that's fair. I thought they would feed the queen and look after her while she's in the cage. But as you said, might not make a difference
@ the other workers will feed her anyways. By removing the attendants first supposedly gives her more of a chance to be excepted
That looks interesting, is it honey with chilli's?
@@angelamitchell7531 yes it’s chilli flakes. Hopefully the flakes will infuse heat into the honey and we get a nice spicy honey. Good on pizzas, cheese etc
What is the distance between the two pices of wood?
I will have to have a look and measure it for you
I have a drive upto wragby if i want anything from Thornes. Im a member of chesterfield bee keepers and they buy in bulk and sell most things alot cheaper than the shops. They obviously dont do Abelo its all cedar but at about £20 for a second super you cant complain any you can just collect it when you want it. Also the cheapest place for jars and fondant. Dont you have a club near you?
@@Cubrider yes mate we have a cooperative too
Can you drive upto your hives?
How many hives do you manage?
@@Cubrider at the moment 10
Ive 12 hives so have just bought they lyson 20 frame spinner. It was a black friday deal which may still be on because it should have been £1400 but reduced to £925. I was so close to buying the techtron one but as the abello came down to the same price it swung it for me because i can sell it for what i paid in the future if need be. Im mansfueld Nottinghamshire so had to collect it to get that price. 1 and a half hour drive but worth it. Oh and its simply honeys nod that im now a subscriber
You must let us k is how it goes with that mate
stay warm/safe
Financial director and owner is Gail 👍🏼😂😂
@@Philipkeeling absolutely
Hopefully all the bees will be fine during this storm 🐝

Was about to fly when went out. 😅😅
We use Maisemore, never had an issue, Thorne are too expensive.
