Great idea and I like your website. I'm a keeper in Mansfield and it's great to see local honey at a fair price.
@@Cubrider thankyou so much. My daughter made the website for us. It’s fully coded so very bespoke for Denbeehoney. We shall keep adding things to it as we grow and grow.
@DenbeeHoney are you in Denby?
@ no mate we are in the West Midlands
@@DenbeeHoney thankyou for bidding on the hat for my wife's charity marathon Denbee honey. I saw your bid come up in the captions.
The stands are looking good, I think the stand that will hold 5 colonies (4:29) will need support in the middle.
@aidan4158 yes I agree mate. Maybe some blocks or something
Great website
Thankyou so much
Merry Christmas to you Paul. Enjoy your day.
@@HoneyMarketingBoard thankyou. You too
Love the videos pal 👍🏼 would love a visit to the wood and see the Bee set up
@@Philipkeeling you are very welcome anytime mate
Glad your bees are doing well after the storms we have had 🐝
@aidan4158 thanks mate. See you at the beekeeping show again hopefully
Have a great Christmas.
@@HoneyMarketingBoard thankyou… you guys too 🐝
Lovely mate just subscribe 👍
@@thecavemanhunter616 thankyou so much
@DenbeeHoney no problem bud keep the good work up mate 👍
No attendants?
@@44birdie44 sorry can you explain?
@DenbeeHoney were there any other bees in the queen cage? When I bought queen this year, there were other bees in the cage with here. The non-queen bees are called attendants.
@@44birdie44 oh ok I see what you mean. Sometimes I take the attendants out sometimes I don’t. I’m really not sure it makes a difference to be honest.
@DenbeeHoney that's fair. I thought they would feed the queen and look after her while she's in the cage. But as you said, might not make a difference
@ the other workers will feed her anyways. By removing the attendants first supposedly gives her more of a chance to be excepted
That looks interesting, is it honey with chilli's?
@@angelamitchell7531 yes it’s chilli flakes. Hopefully the flakes will infuse heat into the honey and we get a nice spicy honey. Good on pizzas, cheese etc
What is the distance between the two pices of wood?
I will have to have a look and measure it for you
I have a drive upto wragby if i want anything from Thornes. Im a member of chesterfield bee keepers and they buy in bulk and sell most things alot cheaper than the shops. They obviously dont do Abelo its all cedar but at about £20 for a second super you cant complain any you can just collect it when you want it. Also the cheapest place for jars and fondant. Dont you have a club near you?
@@Cubrider yes mate we have a cooperative too
Can you drive upto your hives?
How many hives do you manage?
@@Cubrider at the moment 10
Ive 12 hives so have just bought they lyson 20 frame spinner. It was a black friday deal which may still be on because it should have been £1400 but reduced to £925. I was so close to buying the techtron one but as the abello came down to the same price it swung it for me because i can sell it for what i paid in the future if need be. Im mansfueld Nottinghamshire so had to collect it to get that price. 1 and a half hour drive but worth it. Oh and its simply honeys nod that im now a subscriber
stay warm/safe
Financial director and owner is Gail 👍🏼😂😂
@@Philipkeeling absolutely
Hopefully all the bees will be fine during this storm 🐝
@aidan4158 keeping our fingers crossed mate
I've just got back from a 20 mile ride on my motorbike and it was very entertaining 🤗
Stay safe please and take your own advice.
Was about to fly when went out. 😅😅
We use Maisemore, never had an issue, Thorne are too expensive.
Jos a goodun 👍🏼
I love those buns from the butchers lol, I call them pork pies.
@@DunnyBees hahahaah
Always good to be prepared 🐝
Shame your parcel got delivered damaged and missing items, I bought 10 supers with nails and have luckily received them with no issues.
@@aidan4158 it was a nightmare mate
Mate that unbelievable, must be missing all sorts, hopefully it get sorted for you… did you pay through PayPal.?
@@dcleal1 yes I did Danny.
@ always a back up with PayPal, glad it was sorted out in the end, nothing worse is there.
@ it was a nightmare. They made me feel really guilty. It was like trying to get blood out of a stone
I think all bee keepers are the same first thing back before unpacking....check the bees!!!
@@robinbeavan5152 the first thing on my mind 👌🏻
Mine doing the same bud.👍
Looks good buddy..😆
Thanks 👍
Ta for the update! Expect you are thinking about plans for next year. That sparrow hawk was a bit noisy😊
Lovely to see, ours are out in force today aswell
Looks good not nice when your bee's take a dislike to everyone. It's a good job we can get hold of new queens to solve the problem.
@@robinbeavan5152 absolutely. They were horrible. If you look at my earlier videos you will see how horrible they were.
Had to do double take on hives, realised it was hive straps. I thought you had put bows on them 😅😅😅
@@angelamitchell7531 they deserve them. Absolutely amazing little creatures ❤️🐝
@@DenbeeHoney they certainly are
Might be worth planning to do a few splits in spring, will reduce honey output a bit, but you can sell some of the nucs to cover all those costs. Plus they are a good insurance back up as you never know how many colonies will get thru the winter! 😊
Thanks for that, glad you had a good honey crop. I think we all look forward to the next season, must say I do like May, thinking about splits already. I think beekeeping keeps us all mentally young!😊
@@eastsussexbeesandwildlife5801 it sure does. Learnt lots and cried lots hahah
Hello friend nice video friend great វីដេអូ ល្អ i super like video friends wow nice vlog video friend 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love it
Nice lot of hives you have on the go there, well done ..
@@dcleal1 cheers Dan, I have 10 on the go at the minute. 3 rd year Beek
@@DenbeeHoney yeah cool, nice frames of honey coming soon.. have you had any honey of them before now.?
@@dcleal1 yes mate .. I had a good spring crop and I’ve just lifted 150lbs of summer honey. Gonna lift the rest next week. Which I’m hoping will be more than that. We’ve had a good year, I know quite a lot of others have had a really poor year
@@DenbeeHoney good stuff, I no we got off to a poor start with the weather but the bees certainly made up for it lol..
@@dcleal1 you using a DJI Mike? Or what is it you using please 🙏
Get some nice landing boards for them
@@DunnyBees great idea mate.
Nice frames
@@angelamitchell7531 thankyou
Looks good
@@aidan4158 cheers young man
I think you had forgotten to put some of the sped up parts back to normal speed when you were talking
Will you be going to the honey show in October at Sandown Park?
I hope so my mate. Will you?
@@DenbeeHoney I'm hoping to go
Definitely an obsessive hobby, ive actually had sleepless nights worrying about the bees and whether i should of done something or not 😅
Looks fabulous, what scales do you use?
Just the wife’s kitchen scales
The weather is definitely all over the place, at the moment I'm feeding two splits I'm raising queens and feeding two hives that I'm growing getting brood foundation frames drown out. I have two main hives that I'm having to add supers and will have to split one after a round of brood. Beekeeping definitely keeps you busy 🐝
It definitely keeps you on your toes
What concentration are you using for the syrup? I'm currently feeding my splits 1:1 (1kg sugar to 1 litre of water) to build up the splits.
I feed Ambisia syrup. It’s already mixed. I buy it from my club
Wait what you are talking about honey but you show fish?? I am so confused
Why are they so flighty
