“High Brow Ritarae” 2017 Model red dun mare. I have owned Riata since she was a long yearling. I had 20 days put on her before I started riding her on my own when I was 9 years old, she was my first big horse to finish on my own. I have spent countless hours riding her through the trails, swimming in the pond, gathering livestock, roping cattle, barrel racing and pole bending at jackpots, hauling her to rodeos all over Missouri, Kansas, Iowa. We have competed at Green Hills Horse Show, local fun shows, rode in parades, competed in cattle sorting, I have done about everything there is with Riata and she has taken care of me every time. She has been used on our farm for lessons, guided rides, riding clinics. She will take care of her rider, she doesn’t spook, she can sit for weeks and ride off like she never missed a day. You don’t have to worry about her acting up or misbehaving, she saddles up good and rides off like one should. She has a ton of heart and will give you her best every time you ride her. I have a few others horses and have been getting busy in high school now so I am going to offer her to public, so she can be used and rode like she deserves to be. I turn 16 in a few months and need to buy a car. She will be somebody’s dream horse, I truly believe. She is very versatile. She has won me many paychecks in barrel racing, and at local horse shows. She is finished 2D barrel horse, I believe if she was hauled consistently she has room to improve. She has been rode in all the show classes and speed events as well. She is 100% sound, she has never had any maintenance other than normal routine worming, teeth, farrier work. She rides barefoot and has good hard feet, she can be shoed if you prefer. She stands for the farrier, she stands tied, she loads in various types of trailers, she will back out of trailer, she has been hauled all over the place, new places don’t phase her, she walks on the hot walker. She rides bareback with a string around her neck, halter, it doesn’t matter she is handy broke, neck reins around and easy to maneuver. She rides alone or in a group, this is one of my favorite things about her. She is not marish around other horses, she has good manners on the ground and in the saddle. Riata loves working cattle, she is used to checking cattle out in the pasture, gathering cattle, roping cattle and she loves every minute of it. She would make somebody a very nice breakaway horse!
