Join us on a fascinating journey as we explore the incredible milestones of Voyager One, humanity's farthest-reaching spacecraft! Launched on September 5, 1977, from Cape Canaveral, Florida, Voyager One has traveled beyond the Sun-Pluto distance to enter interstellar space in 2012. Equipped with advanced technology, including cameras and the iconic Golden Record, Voyager One captured breathtaking images and unprecedented data from encounters with Jupiter and Saturn. Learn about the extreme conditions it braved, its diminishing plutonium-powered supply, and the innovative engineering that keeps us connected despite the vast distance. Discover how Voyager One's groundbreaking discoveries and cultural legacy continue to inspire and transform our understanding of the universe.

    A "comet" is not as "asteroid".

    • @CosmoQuarks

      comets are icy bodies that exhibit a glowing tail when near the Sun, while asteroids are rocky bodies found in the asteroid belt and lack the volatile elements that cause cometary tails.

    🤔fall??? So things fall into black holes?

    • @CosmoQuarks

      Yes, objects fall into black holes due to their strong gravitational pull. Once inside the event horizon, it's theorized that nothing, not even light, can escape the gravitational grasp of a black hole

  • @LukasNRich

    Fact 4 sounds weird, the fact that scientists have known about ROGUE black holes could debunt that "fact", these black holes will barrel throughout the galaxy and take in anything within its path due to the gravitational force it has, which breaks down matter into its own mass, sometimes even making rings around itself

    • @CosmoQuarks

      Black holes are often misunderstood as cosmic vacuum cleaners, but they don't "suck" things up in the way we might imagine. Their gravitational pull is exceptionally strong due to their immense mass concentrated in a small space. However, objects need to be very close for the gravitational force to become significant. If you were far enough from a black hole, its gravitational pull wouldn't be different from that of any other object with the same mass. Only when you approach the event horizon, a boundary around the black hole, do the effects become extreme. Once past the event horizon, nothing, not even light, can escape, which is why it's called a black hole.

    • @wreck-loose

      The point is, any rogue object of sufficient mass would gather up anything in it's path

    • @CosmoQuarks

      @@wreck-loose You are correct

    • @CosmoQuarks

      @@wreck-loose But only a rogue black hole or object not any other type of black holes

    • @LukasNRich

      @CosmoQuarks I am aware of that fact that they do not "suck" in anything when they are hurtling in space as celestial bodies gets absorbed onto the black hole and either have it entirely destroyed or be part of its accretion disk
