​@itskrystle Hi! I've watched carefully the all video, which i confess i hadnt do before... I think many people miss your point because the difference between the base and eyes in the before/ after is much more obvious than the lip one! The "traditional" french make-up is red lip and subtle the eyes, we find strong eyes with strong lips are too much (off course you can do what you like). About lips, i understand what you mean with looking too sharp but i think it suits you aswell :) maybe you find it weird because it looks more "femme fatale" than youthful as i guess asian makeup often does. How old are you by the way :)? But than kind of flouted lips is popular in france aswell, it's called a "bouche mordue"! I'll send you some links! About the sephora red i think it's quiet popular here too but not that as much as a traditional lipstick stick (actually liptsick is always called "rouge à lèvre" (red for lips) even when it's not red).

@itskrystle over time I learn that the red shade that looks flattering on me is the one with pink and blue tone in it. The finish? Soft glossy one. Coz matte finish makes me look too fierce and old while glazed finish looks too much on me also. I love shade winsome from holika heart crush glow tint air and some other shades from my local makeup brand

oh yes! i've heard of them before and got a couple of requests to try them out too. 🤓 yeah, i think i only can buy them online here in singapore but also im on a low buy (too many lippies and omg, also you are so sweet and understanding telling me to swatch it only 😭😭) at the moment, i don't have any plans on going to malaysia but when i do, i will keep an eye out. for all you know maybe i'll buy one shade just to try out lmaooo. (im a lippie victim for real) 🤡

@@itskrystle Thank you! ❤They are usually available in either Sasa, Watsons or Guardian here but not in every store. If you go to KL, Yike Beauty at SS15 confirm got sell it along with a lot of C-beauty stuff for cheap. TBS bus station Guardian also carries them and has all the shades out for swatching. Otherwise, JB malls like Paradigm, Midvalley Southkey, and Aeon Tebrau are more likely to carry them because they are bigger malls. Paradigm Watson doesn't carry them but I haven't got time to go see their Sasa or Guardian yet.

yeah it’s definitely more of a “top up” or “fresh flush” kind of blush ahaha! i must say, the radiance and glow from this blush is so dang pretty 🤩 id be curious to see if its possible to layer it up, building on the pigmentation

yeah, its like the soft-full-gradiation is *the* lip trend right now. i think its also ties in pretty well with current asian beauty trends. the whole "natural fuller looking lips" haha. ooo, that is so interesting to hear. what kind of eyeshadow looks have you experimented with? like the light glittery kind or the heavy darker colours?

omg yes it'd be great for your climate! if im not wrong, i believe glow cosmetics is the only brand that makes oil blush. they only have 2 shades. purple flame (cool) and clover club (warm) my other suggestion is the moist ampoule liquid blushes from house of hur. the body of the formula isnt as thick as the glow ones. and comparing it to rare beauty's soft pinch liquid blush, the house of hur ones feel more watery and hydrating to the touch. they also give off a dewy look to your cheeks.

i agree! i believe it's the overall look as well. it would help if we see this technique with the similar eye look (more minimal, less smokey eye and more on the eyeliner emphasis) in her "before" photo ☺️

I have tried the blurred lip line technique you suggested, and it makes it a lot more wearable for me. Thank you for sharing the technique! I think red comes off as too harsh on me for my liking because I have very low contrast. Even though I get a lot of compliments when I wear a red lippie even with a crisp line, I hardly ever reach for it. It's just hard to get used to, because I am more used to heavy eye makeup. But using your technique I will surely wear it more often. My favourite reds are MACs Ruby Woo, Walk of no Shame by Charlotte Tilbury and rom&nd zero matte in #17 Red heat for more muted tones. For a punchy true red I like the Rare Beauty Matte Lip souffle in Inspire. Maybe you could do a video with your favourite lip products & shades in the future? I recently discovered your Channel and love your content! Keep up the good work!💖

yes! i recently switched to davinci resolve because 1. adobe increased their monthly subscription from $70 sgd to $78 sgd per month 2.i dont wanna keep paying for that 🥲 so learning a new video editing software is definitely.... a steep learning curve haha. do you edit videos too? 🤩

big fat yes to hoping more brands release olive undertones! i vaguely remember owning ginger in one of their cushions? it was super orange on me. borderline looked like oompa loompa haha. we need muted foundation colours frfr. brands keep releasing "brightening" foundations (bc asian beauty standards) but 80% our faces look too bright compared to the rest of our body 😅

omg I KNOW which one you're talking about!! it came out around the same time as the OG prism air highlighters 🤩 if im not wrong, they also had eyeshadow palettes of that formula, right? im guessing clio's pro eye palette air is their only line of eyeshadow atm 😅. maybe they wanna streamline their eyeshadow line. but it'd be cool if they re-release the prism air shadows!!

@ since the single prism air shadow had been way out of production, i reached out for their palettes that also have glitter in the pan but too bad it’s not of the same formula. I find it hard to pick up enough product from the glitter pan, it feels too dry while that old single ones were so buttery you lighthandedly can get proper amount of product

my top recc is laura mercier transparent loose setting powder. i use it 80% of the time bc it works so well and blurs my skin nicely with any base makeup. for drugstore, i love the maybelline fit me loose powder. on the same level as laura mercier one, except its slightly tinted. finished 1 whole container of it!! hope this helps 🥰

oh girl, trust me. it has been almost a solid month since i have short hair and i still wonder if i look like dora the explorer or a mushroom haha! i love the ease of convenience with short hair tho!
