This Locomotive was my father’s favourite loco that he built around year 2000, painted and lined by me, this was its first run for about 5 years - running for about 35mins, filmed using my EM5 mkIII at 60fps.

This model to Martin Evans Design dates back to 1998, it had little use as it’s a bit difficult to control on a small track, needs a heavy load to hold it back! this is a recent steam up in June 2024 filmed using E-M5 III some old footage from 2007.

This model was started by my father, over 20years ago, I,ve just started work on it in the last year.

Me and my father made a pair of these tank engines back in 2007, model designed by Paul Forsyth with an axle driven water pump added.

This model was built around a Stuart Turner Oscillator engine about 2007, it’s not very powerful and runs for about 10mins on a fill of water and meths.

The model was started by my father sometime around 1980, he had several spells working on it and ultimately, I inherited his work. Nothing happened until just before the first UK lockdown, placing a large order of materials with Reeves - giving the postman a workout! Great progress was made in those months staying home.

This is a 1958 Tudor Prince watch - not worked for 40 years, this is a bit of a departure for my model engineering skills, there was some loose screws on the self-winding mechanism but the major issue was the damaged gear 5.5mm diameter x 0.25mm 30 teeth, I had to make a few tools for this project including a cutter for the correct tooth profile. This Locomotive is the first K1 rebuild of a Gresley K4 by Thompson in 1945, the main differences with a standard Peppercorn K1,s is the Gresley 3 bar crosshead guide the expansion link bracket and a smaller 3,500g tender, I’ve just made a small modification to the lubricator valve with an extension tube to hopefully smooth the oil flow, name plates supplied by Diane Carney.

Garden railway steaming September 2023, this time with the Fowler Compound - started by my father, when living in Dunstable Bedfordshire and completed by myself in Derby where the original was built. filmed again with my Olympus E-M5 mk III but this time tried 60 frames per second.

MacCAILIN MOR, LNER K1/1 this is a 10mm scale meths fired model, this was the first K1 modified from a Gresley K4 by Thompson. As usual filmed with my Olympus E-M5 mk III
