Brooooooke da mouf!!!
Sole. Boiling always make peel banana easy. Only problem is we can never convince the old school islanders to do it this way. If I ever get caught by my mom or unkos boiling banana with skin I’ll get one slap. Lol
@@mathusvaiaoga9787 Lol! Yup 💯So True but to save time and labor Boiling is the way to go.
My god there are good tutorial out there yet I could not get it until you said it with simplicity. Very grateful and I’m going back to the kitchen to cook with fire.
@@j.p.rambactugangui4540 lol! Glad could help

@@sterlingalo4359 You’re welcome
❤my favorite food
This is beautiful! Is that a fresh sprig of thyme on top if the rice! Brilliant idea!
First Comment! Thanks for doing this. I've been growing banans for a year now and I never really learned how to cook them green. Your pan-rice cooking video is my go-to for family parties and other big gatherings. Please keep the training videos coming.
@@hurrahforisrael when you boil the Green Bananas you need to add water to the water so it doesn’t get sticky. And once the Skin cracks then it is ready.

@@212poi5 you don’t have to but we burn it to give it a better ring sound. It’s really up to you but I like how it sounds after it’s burned.

@@mrmiyagitherealmiyagi9929 no I took it off but forgot to film it.
Can I have the breakdown of the recipe? if you dont mind
@@TheJunyahboy you blend chili peppers and fresh garlic ,I add mirin Japanese wine ,Hawaiian salt, sugar. I add that mix to a gallon of water and boil in a pot for like 25 minutes or so. The measurement ratio of the water and chili blend mix is 1 qrt mix to 2 gallon water. And adjust as needed. Then cool it down and pour in bottles.
@chefprezgaleai1943 thank you braddah 🤙🏾🤙🏾

How would you make this for catering. Need to make Spanish/Mexican orange rice. Thank you!
@@TheYoungLeech it should be the same but just add your seasoning and citrus in before you bake. Then adjust after it’s cooked for taste and consistency.

Se Mālō Pres Galeai. I first saw this video about 8 years or so when it fist came out and I have never done rice that much. But tomorrow for our ward luau I signed up for rice so I am going to use this for tomorrow. That have been my measurements for rice also, 1 cup of rice to 1 1/2 cups of water . Fa'afetai lava

Thanks for such a useful video! The video and the comments gave me all I needed to know to cook rice for a young men's encampment with 215 people. I really appreciate it!

DO YOU BOIL WATER FIRST LIKE OTHER RICE OVEN RECIPES
No just put pan in a preheated oven at 400*
looks good
Great vids
Man I kind of miss that kitchen! Are you still at PCC? Can you get the macadamia nut brownies, pineapple bars, and purple bread for me President? I don’t know how I lost them all these years.😅
I moved back to BYUH after Covid 2021.
Keep going man!

Really digging tha vibe specially the subtitles. Right on man Tai lava
🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽Malo Lava!
Thank you, you explained well and you’re one of the best videos I found on how to make lu pulu properly, the other videos on Tongan people making it don’t fully explain as you have, the only thing I never tried is using glad wrap before the foil which I’m going to skip but overall I’m gonna try cooking this because it looks delicious, well done.
I have another video that shows a different way to cook the lupulu in the pan. It turns out better because I boil the leaves and layer it too. Thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
