@@stephanieammons yea this is rough one. I stopped using mine once I found that the powder may cause issues down the road. Even though I was using it in my basement, I was not doing it in my house anymore or risk any chance of exposing my kids to it.

@ my thing is if they knew this printers was discontinued why still sell them as if they were working good. It was a complete rip off. Then tell you to buy all these different parts that cost hundreds of dollars. Don’t get me wrong the shirts be beautiful and last a long time but they shouldn’t sell printers that are no good.

Instead of engraving i am cutting letters out to make a layered named keychain ​@@nikittyworkshop

@@SaphsCreations oh ok that sounds fun. You can use text that is scripted so that the letters are joined. Thicker fonts are better when cutting out text. Otherwise, if you are not getting straight cuts then you may have to check your laser beam alignment. It’s all trial and error to get the right settings for each material.

@@highlywouldkustomz hi have you tried resetting the waste ink pad counter? That would show a red blinking light as well. Tech support can send you program to reset it outside of the DTF software.

Hello, I’m not sure what would cause that to happen. You would have to troubleshoot it. Does it happened with all your images? If yes, try running cleaning cycle. It is possible you have a clog in one of the ink lines.

Hi Heather, V10 is harder to find since they are pushing V11. I was able to find one link. I do not know this company so research it further before you decide to downloading the file. You can download the 15 day trial version. Good question, I am not sure. I suspect that V11 has more features than V10. You can do the trial version of V11 to determine if it is worth the upgrade.

Hey, I actually stop doing DTF. I didn’t want to chance it in my house with the kids. I have my whole setup for fume extraction but not dust particles. I am still doing HTV, the laser, embroidery and sewing. How is the DTF treating you?

Thanks for watching. I am happy you were able to find an ink that works well for you. Yes it may be more expensive than other aftermarket inks. The price of the Epson inks varies from different suppliers too. I still found it to be cheaper than Sawgrass inks. Also, I don’t have any luck with the color profiles from the after market inks. I have tried several without success.

No not yet. It on my list of things to try. There is also the gold DTF foil I’m interested in too.

@@nikittyworkshop I just kept a fan running in the room if it was hot , and I would put powder on a blank shit to see if it was sticking to it I knew it was to humid in the room

Hi, thanks for watching. The black couplers were installed on the printer. The clear ones cane with replacement pump. The black ones were tight almost, fused to the printer lines so it was easier to remove the clear ones instead of the black.

@nikittyworkshop thanks for the reply. My wimps pump have not been circulating the white ink since I got it back in March...I've gotten a replacement and it's still not working ....do you have any suggestions?

@@highlywouldkustomz I had the same problem. The 1 st replacement that they sent me didn’t work. The 2nd one worked fine. I would contact the company that sent the replacement and have them end out another one. Other than I’m not what to recommend. Quality control is not the best for any of these products.

Hi Thanks for watching. I do not know how to split large designs into small sections for printing within the RIP software. There are other editing programs that may be able to do that for you.

Hi I'm not sure but have you checked your settings? Take a look at the white under black setting. It could also be the color profile of the image when it was created. Did you try to print different images with black included?

Hi, I’m not sure what may be the problem. Check your cables and maybe restart the software. Usually once the printer is connected and on it would give you an option to add your printer.

hi, the software was included with purchase of the printer. I was sent the key code in an email. I had to download the software and input the code to get access without a time restriction. You have access for life for the version that you purchased. There no monthly/ annually charges after purchase. However, you would have to pay an upgrade fee for future versions. There is a limit on how many computers can use your key code. They can reset your code if you computer fails before deactivating the code on that computer. It happened to me a few times.

@@deeznuttz7980 yes is should work on Windows 11. I have mine running on 10. You can checks the specs on the CadLink’s website to be sure. You may need to download the drivers for your printer as well.

@@kanidanieldariusdad I agree that tech support is terrible. It’s very disappointing to have all these problems under a year of purchasing. Plus these items are not cheap either. It’s good they are sending a replacement but they need to work on their turnaround time. I hope you get to make way more than the cost of the equipment before it breaks again.

Hi, I’m not sure. Have tried gently cleaning the front part of the head with a swab and cleaning solution. AA Print Supply shows how to do it in one their cleaning videos. You can run a few lines of yellow to see if it keep doing the print error.

@@nikittyworkshop funny thing is when I run lines it’s prints yellow but when I printed yellow image it would print a lil black first , I took the print head apart and cleaned it , this printer ain’t for the weak hearted lol

@@kanidanieldariusdad oh wow, sorry you have to go through that already. Figured you would have at least 6 months before having to do that. Yea are correct this printer is not for the weak hearted.

@@nikittyworkshop it was a lot of ink caked up around the edge of the print head , if I print yellow by it self it give a hint of black , but if yellow is the secondary color it prints without the hint of black

@@kanidanieldariusdad you may have to contact AA Print Supply to find out what to do. The printhead may still be under warranty so they can send you a new one. Plus they may have some tips they can provide you. I have not experienced that with my printer. I run a 1” x 1” square of each color yellow, cyan, magenta, black and white. To help unclog the print head and get the ink running.

I do head cleaning at the start of the day. If I have a lot to print then I do another one after about 4 hours of printing.

@@nikittyworkshop yes me to , I’m about to get on it now , what temp do you cure the prints cus you know the oven only shows celcius

@kanidanieldariusdad Currently I have it set at 280, but always check to see how the transfers are looking. Darkening of the white means too hot and the powder not melting enough is too cold. I have the time set to 90s.

@@kanidanieldariusdad I didn’t 😂. I couldn’t get it to change the units. I really don’t trust the temperature readout either. That why I just gauge it by how the transfers look.

Hello @christienjgirl76 Thank you for watching. I ordered mine back in July 2022. At that time, it took about a week. At that time they had just got a shipment. You can the call the store to find out if they have any in stock or when they are expecting a shipment of printers.

@@christienjgirl76 It's a love/hate relationship with this printer. You have to be very patient and hands on when issues arise. When it works, it is great. It does work about 80% of the time. Stay on top of the maintenace. Print often, every 2 days if possible but not longer than a week. But alway follow the manufacturer's recommendations. I have not tried any other DTF printer.

hi Elizabeth, great question. I have not seen any cracking from samples I did for myself. However, i think they’ve been washed and dry about 5 times. I have not heard any complaints from my customers either.(Knock on wood) I would say so far so good.

@@nikittyworkshop That’s so great to hear! I am definitely experiencing a little bit of trouble and trying to refine my process to make sure I’m doing everything correctly. Are you able to share with me the curing temperature and time as well as pressing temperature and time you are using for your designs?

Hi Elizabeth, I use the curing oven that AA print sells. The setting I use is 290 at 90 sec. But I always check that the adhesive fully melts without darkening the white. The press temperature will vary based on the film you are using. I have 1 that says 305 and another is 330. I press for 15 sec medium firm pressure with the film. After removing the film, I press with butcher paper for another 15 seconds.

Hi Pamela, I have been hearing that quite a few times. DTF is an amazing concept. However, my customers actually prefer my Siser easy subli versions of the designs I have made. I would blame it on ‘user error’ on my part but no matter how I change the settings the design are not “poppin” the way I want. Sometimes I think I should have waited, saved some more money and get a BN-20 instead.
