How compensate centrifugal force in 6 DOF IMU?
When do we use 9° of freedom and 6 degree of freedom?
Great explanation; brief and to the point. Please try and do more content; you are very gifted. I have subscribed and thank you
if i only am concerned with heading (compass) do I need to be concerned with the other factors? (ie accelerometer/gyro/pitch yaw)?
aye, well, accelerometer as a minimum for compass heading as, in order to determine heading, you need to rotate the mag data to the horizontal plane using pitch/roll parameters from the accelerometer first. Look up "tilt compensated compass" paper from www.pololu.com/file/0J434/LSM303DLH-compass-app-note.pdf/
Actually You are not getting in to the point.
You never mention 9 DOF. You only get to 6 DOF.
Remaining 3DOF could/should be Triple-axis Magnetometer.
@@hemantsurale Can you please explain what is that used for? For example on the drone. Is it used as a compass? I was always confused why some drones say they have 9 degrees of freedom. How can there be 9 dofs when an object in 3d space only has 3 axies for its position and 3 axies for its rotation.
NICE !! :)
