Hi hyper Myles, at 43 your best option are applying for a Provincial Nomination , getting a job offer or if your are interested in coming as a student.

Let her know not all provinces tou have to get a job offer...getting a job offer from outside of Canada is a task...do you have any reliable agencies

You can do them simultaneously. Register for the test and send your transcripts to WES.

Express entry is the method where a person has a particular score and is placed in a pool of applicants after meeting certain criteria and one is selected based on the cut-off score and invited to apply to be permanent resident. Other entries include coming as a student, coming on a work-permit, spousal application.

If you get below 400 at this time, you would have to redo the IELTS test to improve your points, or apply for a provincial nomination which would give you 600 points or apply for a job in Canada which would give you 200 additional points. 400 points is not enough to be selected from the Express Entry Pool right now.

"You must give an equivalent document that shows the relationship and include a letter of explanation about why you’re sending it You should also include a copy of your birth certificate."
