Did you find the college classes for education and literacy challenging? I am thinking about switching my major.

I honestly think a reading specialist would be the best fit for me in terms of a career. I’m going back to school to become an elementary school teacher. I’m wondering: can I be a elementary school teacher and a reading specialist? Or do I have to pick one. Thanks 😊❤️

Reading specialist here- usually you have to get a masters in Literacy and a test like a Praxis test, or just the Praxis with your elementary degree. Check with you state/school

Hi! Quick question, what do you do the rest of the day? Do you only provide RTI to 10 students for 1h a day? I'd love to know what your schedule looks like. I'm a new reading interv.

This was helpful, thank you..Great video. I'm going to try this method from tomorrow. 2 of my students are struggling to recognise the blends during reading but when we revise the blends on their own, they sound them all out correctly. Maybe they need it taught a different way. Thank you for this.

I love that you say "I love you too much to agrue" I definitely want to use that in my 6-8th grade AIS reading classroom. Where do go from there though? Child is arguing and getting upset and you say "I love you too much to argue." then do you let them cool down or have them do the activity that was upsetting them anyway or give them an alternative assignment? This was a great video! Thank you!

Hi, love your video. I'm going for a Reading Specialist interview. I was wondering if you have any suggestions as to answering any specific questions that may arise. I've taught as an elementary teacher for the past 20 years so this would be a totally new type of position.

I am also in Missouri. Do you have more than 1 school you teach or is it a small rural community? How many students in a group (how do you know when you have enough?)
