DIY // Sewing a MILKMAID DRESS / pattern tutorial included (might be a bit confusing sorry)
มุมมอง 2.1Kปีที่แล้ว
I sewed this cute cottage core milkmaid dress a few months ago and i'm quite proud of it thank you. This tutorial includes a little bit of math but to anyone who wants to try it, I believe in you. Circle Skirt Calculator: www.moodfabrics.com/circleskirt-calculator I used about 2,5m of fabric (I'm 1,68m) You'll also need an invisible zipper, some matching thread and a sewing machine, although I ...
DIY // Barbie in blue / watch me struggle to sew a barbie trailer inspired gingham dress in blue
มุมมอง 824ปีที่แล้ว
Sew this barbie inspired summer dress with me and watch me struggle 🫶 I made it in blue because my skin is the colour of cooked shrimp and because i had about 2,5m of this old fabric lying around. Overall, i think i used about 2m of the fabric, maybe a bit less one long blue invisible zipper and some blue thread Follow me on Tiktok: @.clicli ☺️ Bow tutorial: th-cam.com/video/ORdMwxba_Vs/w-d-xo....

I Followed a WITHWENDY Dress Tutorial - Cheap Fabric Challenge
If I were to line the bust part how could I do it? my fabric is very see through
Great video! This reminds me of me of my college days in the 1960’s. Whenever there was a party some of us girls would be sewing dresses. It was a blast and we were creative like you. I have two upcoming parties and just purchased ostrich feather cuffs. No 🧵 sewing involved. At 75, I always find use for my sewing machine, e.g. this morning I made a repair to some lovely cotton sheets that belonged to my parents. The sheets are so cozy! Enjoyz
I’ve been obsessed with these dresses since I’ve watched your video a few months ago. I would pay actual money just to get the name of the pattern you used for the bodice of the flowy dress… I already have the fabric, I just need the pattern to make this beauty 😭
Is this fabric stretchy material?
How are you soso cute??! I love how it turned out... unplanned darts and all!
I need this dress. I don't sew but I WILL if that's what it takes, seeing you pushing through your distress is inspirating. You are the best sewing acc I've seen.
The dress turned out super duper pretty! Just like youuu
Omg you are SO funny??! I feel like I'm listening to a good friend and I really like your editing style :')
Wha just for more presicions, can you give me more details about your fabric ? Thanks a lot !!
Hi! I bought the fabric abroad so unfortunately I have no idea what it's called. But its on the thicker side, is a tiny bit stretchy and feels a bit like wool but without the itchiness. Hope that helps ☺️
Glad I'm not the only only getting mental breakdowns while sewing 😂😂
It's part of the process!!
@@clicli. Just like imposter syndrome for the first 5 years 😵💫😄
i’m obsessed with this dress girll 🤩
Thank youuuu ❤️
Hello, what type of fabric did you use?❤❤🇦🇷🇦🇷
Hi☺️ its a very light weight jersey!
How long needs the zipper to be ? I'm in the making of this beautiful dress and I can't figure out this part...
Ohh i hope its going well! I used an invisible zipper that is about 40cm long, hope that helps ☺️
@@clicli.thank you for your answer !! It’s my first project but it’s going well for the moment ! So you attached it to the skirt at the same place where you close the skirt ?
I adore this dress! I saw it on your tiktok and wanted to see the entire process, but now I just ended up watching all your videos.
Ahhh thank you ❤️ im so glad youre enjoying them!!
Love everything about this!!! Still don't understand how pockets work - but now I know how to make puffy sleeves. It's a win! Love your videos (and you are lowkey the funniest).
ahhhh thank you ❤️ I can teach you pockets 🫡
so cute for the spring!!
❤️💖
Welcome to the Internet could be the song. Love the pants!
no 100€ for you scusi
I love watching this process! I think the result is soo cute and you look amazing❤
thank youuu :)
7:45 Karma Jojo Siwa obviously
good guess
Not sure if you're going to be happy to hear that but it's wonderful to see a normal sewing process with its mistakes and frustration! It makes me weirdly inspired to pick up my own sewing projects 🥲 Also, lovely results (even if not to wear together - I think gingham is a bit too much to wear on the whole body)!
Ahhh thank you! This made me so happy to hear because I debated taking the mistakes out of the video but that would just take out such a big part of what sewing actually is (for me at least). So Im glad it motivated you ☺️
how much fabric did you use!!!
about 2,5 meters ☺
maybe i missed it but what did you do with the back? zipper? just sewed it together? buttons?
I just used an invisible zipper ☺
I love it ❤
Thank you 💖
I should envy everyone who can wear a short dress that I have to consider a tunic, they look so cute.
its not my usual style but with tights i dont mind it ☺️
omg please start making patterns, it would be so goooood!
working on it 🫡
An inspiration, as always! 🎉
Thank you ❤️
Loved watching this process! Such a gorgeous dress💞
Thank you, im glad you liked it 😁
I think it turned out really cute ! 🥰

🤝🤝
I love this dress and watching this process!🥰 Amazing!
Thank you 🥰
Easily one of you best videos yet! The dress turned out really pretty. 🥰
Thank you ❤
Not bad for someomne who did this 'not knowing what she's doing'😂❤❤
Agreed ! She seems to have some talent. 👍😀
Ahhhh thank you, im still confused that it turned out like that 😂
I sew lots of trousers and pants (as I am a guy, and that's what I wear) and they can be a real pain in the a,, to get the fit right, so well done getting a wearable pair of pants on your first go. Honestly, you will find sewing your next pair a lot easier, and quicker. Happy sewing.
thank you 💖 i honestly havent tried to make another pair yet haha but i feel the urge coming
Hi, I really like your dress, I like how the skirt part of your dress flows, do you know what type of fabric it is?
Hi :) used rayon for this!
what kind of material did ypu use?
Im not sure what it was called but it was very similar to scuba, so i wouldn’t recommend it haha i think a linen or cotton blend would be better☺️
Nice job 👍 😍I like your own sarcasm too 😂
Thank you 🥰
This dress is so cute!! So impressed 😍
Thank you kind stranger 🫶
Omg this is so cute!! Also your commentary is hilarious 😂 “if you’re already on the edge… I don’t recommend”
Ahhh thank youuuu 🥰🥹
Love it! 😊
Thank you🥰
Looks amazing with the bow ! Also your hair looks so so good !! Big fan :D
Thank youuuu🥰🥰
i'm wanting to try make this myself, can you please explain the measurements for the bodice and ruffles? + your height/size so i can compare/adjust accordingly? i've been trying to work it out but im not sure if my brain isnt functioning properly 🤣
Hi! i'm 1,68cm and wear a german size 36, The bodice is basically just a huge rectangle, mine was 130cm x 65 cm. I just took my measurements around my chest and multiplied it by 1.5 and every ruffle from then also times 1.5 the previous layer :) for the length you just need to decide how long you want it ☺ hope that helps!!
What machine do you have?
A Singer Tradition 2250 🥰
Very nice 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you ❤️
One often uses a completely seperate fabric for pockets, because pant fabrics are thick and you can end up having more than five layers where waistbands meets the pockets
I should have definitely done that, mine were really thick haha
