Dolphins at Robberg 5 March 2024
Dolphin swim-past photo-bombed by a white-breasted cormorant. Later the dolphin pod rested up for a while in the slightly more sheltered bay near our little home, the Fountain Shack.

I just love the sound of the water. Luckily the wind noise isn't too bad.

I love watching the cloud of birds swing round the sky, it's mesmeric and meditative, and I let my mind drift with their eddying. Restless thrill-seekers and those who are Much Too Busy to watch life in real time can sample mins 8:10, 9:35, 14:50 and 17:40. I also love the final moment as the cloud fades into the distance and a lone late-comer streaks after them. (You know that he is the one th...

Fandango Steps 1, 2 & 3 linked together
i love your videos. I promised someone to dance fandango with her today and your videos are the best ones i found to refresh how to do it and you even got the arin arin aswell :D
What an excellent bit of footage!
I'm not really a dancer but this is so lovely. But I am capable of learning the tune which has a certain sadness to it somehow.
HELL YEAH
Beautiful❤❤❤❤
Honest, and nothing phony about it. That is rare and I like that.
That's excellent! :) I really like your analytical approach of not only the steps, but also how to approach the balance here. That's wonderful I used to be in a Scandinavian folkdance group. We had a key person of Swedish heritage, that was very much into learning and cataloguing hundreds of dances. You are more structured and disciplined though. I will start learning and practising this on my own now :) Thank you

Hi Jessica, It’s over a year since you posted your Fandango videos, but I just thought I’d message and thank you for them. I learnt to Fandango with Agnes Perez about 12 years ago, (very classical style, always coming back to 3rd position ) but a move from South to mid - France and a car accident means that I haven’t danced it for many years. Tomorrow I’ll be at a bal-folk where musician friends will play a fandango - so decided I must brush it up. I was just so pleased to find your site, really enjoyed following you through the stages, refreshing myself mentally and getting my feet to build up the speed again. I teach here in the Allier - ( bourrée country ), a wide mix of folk dance so really appreciated your teaching style and super choice of music. Thanks again. Best wishes.
Beautiful! Does anyone know the name of the music?
I think it's the first one of these: Deux polskas de la région du Finnskog : Jenta på Neset / Polska efter Jon Andersson par le duo Varsågod. Jenny Demaret was one of the duo called Yenu who played at that workshop and she has her own TH-cam channel. th-cam.com/video/Ma911tN_rUs/w-d-xo.html
Very late answer, sorry. This is "Pols efter Patrik Andersson", as titled on Jenny's CD album.
Great moves, but I can't see your feet!
Thanks for the compliment! I'm dancing on my own and It's an improvisation - what my feet are doing really doesn't matter much :-). I wasn't adhering to any sequence or to any concept of a 'mazurka step'. :-)
Thank you so much 🌈🌈🌈❤️❤️❤️🌈🌈🌈
Thanks Jessica - clear instructions and clear steps - you never know, my Fandango may be a bit tidier after this workshop - looking forward to the next one!!! Cheers - Claire
Love the trousers (and the Fandango!!!!)
