Wick River Campsite on the NC 500 Review

We weren’t allowed to do a campsite review at Camping de Leychoissier (we always ask permission ) but they did permit me to use the drone to show the sight and château. As it’s a lovely site we thought you would enjoy seeing it.

thanks for the video. Will the grass pitch suitable for large family tent? from the video, it seems narrower.
if memory serves me right the tent pitch up in a large area and not divided into sections. Hope this helps.

Thank you for watching our video and glad you found it informative. To answer your question Yes its free but you will need a coax cable with one end with a satellite type connector and the other with the normal TV coax connector. Hopes this helps. Jim

Poor Bill passed away last year. The campsite has been bought over but the fantastic news is that Wilma is still going to be there. We love this place. We're only an hour away so it's perfect for short weekend breaks. Can't wait for it to open for the 2024 season.

We have stayed at Las Palmeras just next door but this does look nice, is it a quiet suitable for two OAP's in June ?
You should have no problems at that time of year. A really lovely site for sure. We actually returned there a few months back.

Hello. You’ll have to contact the campsite for that information I’m afraid. We are, like you, just campers who review and share our experiences.
Hi Jim, enjoyed your video reviews of the sites which were informative. Having recently returned from 3 weeks touring France, I'm not sure your how much did it all cost figures are correct. You seem to have missed out a lot of the costs. I believe you also returned by ferry which was not included along with other costs figures.
I am happy to see that you are finding the campsite reviews informative. As stated in the video I used only the Eurotunnel on both outward and home journeys which I booked about 5 and a half months before departure opting for an early train to cut the cost and the price shown in video is correct. I did not include costs for food, eating out, entertainment or excursions as that would vary from one person to another an example being the use of toll roads, I chose not to use any heading down to Spain but used them coming back. If others used both ways then the cost would be considerably more. Some costs for local transport etc were mentioned in some videos showing you around areas or campsite. Hope this clears your query. Please cud you tell me the prices for my motorhome on the camping sites .As they seem all different price and some are expensive

Hi 🙂Great video , did you venture into Benidorm from the site ? there doesnt seem to be a pathway you can walk into Benidorm looking on google maps . Cheers
Thanks for watching our video. You can walk into Benidorm from this site but it is a fair old distance. There is a very good bus service just outside the camp which takes you to Benidorm one way and to Altea the other it cost us about 2€ and a bit per journey buying tickets on the bus. There is also a train station nearby but it doesn’t take you into the heart of the town like the bus. Hope this helps you. Jim

Never really thought of Austria as a place to visit, but that has changed now. What great scenery and the buildings are like something straight out of the Sound of Music. Another one on our to visit list next year hopefully. What are trying to do, cut Mo out of the frame or keep her in it??? You both make me chuckle, enjoy the rest of your trip.
Austria does have a lot to offer and we will be back. Struggle with the night difference with Mo and I I’ll get it right one day lol. A chuckle is good.
What was the cost of your stay JIm?
The campsite featured in this video was 20€ per night when we were there Sept 2022. Hope this helps ? Jim

Sorry, i do not agree. The most unmodern and dirtiest campsite I've ever visited. Washrooms obviously cleaned in the last century. Shortened up Our visit. Never again.
Sorry to hear that but you have to understand we can only go by the days we were there and always post honest reviews of our experience. Thanks for taking the time to watch our video.

Austria looks amazing. Majorca now charges a fee to cover the environment which can be hefty for those on AI who perhaps think that they are paid up for their holiday. Enjoy the scenery

Looks like a lovely place to visit and explore, I must admit that walk would have done me in too, but worth it in the end. Mad how some countries are still pushing for face coverings on public transport and other countries don't give a dam about it!! Great to see Mo getting in on the act, unfortunately my missus isn't having any of it on my videos. Your editing skill are getting better each time, I need to start learning a bit more to keep up!! Good to see you on the road again Jim, pub park up looks a great place. We haven't made it over to Europe yet and won't this year due to the fuel prices, but already planning next year. Pity you were mucked about and P&O didn't meet expectations, I am not sure I'd use them after the way they treated their staff earlier in the year, I think the tunnel will be our way of travel. Enjoy your trip and looking forward to seeing the next upload.

Thanks Trev. Really nice stop over lovely place. As I said in video if it wasn’t for the fact we had the vouchers form last year we wouldn’t have used them. Defiantly a big difference in the service now. We are in German now and blown away with our choice of site and surroundings as you will see next week. 😀. Jim

Well sh*t happens mate! Especially when you travel across countries. When I traveled to India they banned the 500 and 1000 rupees bills 24h hours after we landed... A man got stabbed next to me at an ATM the first time I withdrew money 😅 Anyway after a bad start I'm sure you will enjoy your European trip! The video editing keeps getting better nice job!
