I posted too soon. Please keep us updated
It sounds like a slip. Did you do a barium swallow?
Oooh, that's a bit of a worry, it does sound a bit like a slip or at the very least like some scar tissue has built up around the band. Hopefully your surgeon will have some answers once he sees the scope results. :) ((hugs))
Hi Sarah, yeah, I'm starting to think it may be a slip, it hadn't actually occurred to me before
Hi Lindy! Oh man you really have had problems. So sorry. I hope your Dr. Can figure it out. Keep us updated. Your in my thoughts and prayers. Xoxo
Thanks Erica, it's been pretty frustrating, it does seem to be improving but something is definitely up!
Glad you're band is still in good position and that you've got a bit of an explanation as to why you still had restriction after than unfill. Well done with all your success!! :D
I'm sorry you're having some struggles with your band. You're doing fantastically with your fitness though and I'm sure if you keep that up, you should be fine with it unfilled for a while. Hope everything gets sorted soon! :)
Exact same thing happened to me. Stress from work caused me to be too tight. Did a barium swallow last Thursday and band has slipped. I'm completely unfilled for 4 weeks in hope that band goes back in place on its own. Hope things go well for you. You look fantastic!
Hi Jenn, thanks for the compliment, you are looking pretty great yourself! How much does it suck being unfilled! Did you cry as well? I am now noticing that I can eat more easily which is great in one sense and terrifying in another. I hope things work out for you too, it would be terrible to have to have surgery again! x
Wow! You're looking so incredible! Well done! :D
Lindy, you look Stunning! You are doing so well keep up the good work!! Hugs!
aw thanks Erica, big hugs to you too xx
it feels like forever since surgery but only three weeks really, so yes must be patient xxx
Girls, you are all so awesome, thank you! I am feeling a bit better today, went out for Lunch/coffee with my son, I had an omelette at home and then when we went out Elvis ordered some food and I had a little bit of it, that worked well I thought. We went for a drive around the countryside then stopped at a cafe where my friend works and had another coffee and some sticky date pudding (I only had about 5 tiny tiny spoons full, very moderate of me) and we went for walk around a small cemetary!
Hi sweet Lindy! remember to be forgiving of your thoughts n feelings. hormones go a bit nutty after surgery and us girls hold water n all that stuff. water, protein, walk n vitamins! you know it.. just love you! i agree about the mom thing. i wish she'd take the time to read it for you. keep bugging her til she does hehe Stay Strong Lindy! you can do this! hugs!! Kami
It sounds like you've hit the 3 week blues. It's your body having a minor freak out. Plenty of wlsers get it, I know I did! You are not alone! It passes, I promise. Just keep plodding on and the weight will start moving especially if you're able to start getting fills early. You might get to skip 'bandster hell'! (The time shortly after 4 weeks and your first fill when you've healed sufficiently to feel hunger but you can't eat 'cause you're still on soft foods). We're here for you! :D
I'm glad you finished up in the description box otherwise we'd have all been panicking! :) It's awesome that you're doing so well. :D
