Lots of videos of our travels, concerts, preaching engagements, and fun.
I am an evangelist/singer/songwriter. My wife and I love to travel, and I love sharing the Gospel through song and word. We realize that there are a lot of people who cannot travel for one reason or another. So this channel allows others to share in our adventures hiking, traveling, and seeing new things. Right now we travel in our RAV4, but we are praying for a small pull behind camper like a Scamp or a Casita.
There are a lot of older videos on this channel, but “Steppin’ Out with Paul & Nancy” is a new playlist that’s filled with our travel videos. We are trying to produce quality videos so please be patient as we learn new equipment and technology. The travel videos premier usually every 2 weeks.

Coke Ovens Trail,, Colorado National Monument: An Easy, Short Hike, Nancy Startled, Bonus Ending
People don't realize how far the effects of wildfires can reach. Here we were, 19 miles east of Utah, and we were being effected by wildfires in California, Nevada, and western Utah. Smoke from those fires had drifted into The Grand Valley obscuring the views. So, on a day when we were supposed to drive to Grand Mesa, we instead drove to the Coke Ovens Trailhead in Colorado National Monument.
I had noticed a couple of days before, on our way back into the area from Arizona, that we drove through parts of New Mexico and Utah where smoke had caused the sky to go from brilliant blue to grey and hazy. Knowing this I knew the smoke would obscure the view from Grand Mesa. I did find out later that the smoke stayed mostly low in the valley and we probably would've had an okay view from the Mesa. But, we still had a good time.
While in Arizona we couldn't hike because it was just too hot. We would try to go swimming early in the morning, but the even the water in the pool would not cool you off. Temperatures above 100 degrees can be extremely dangerous. About a week after we visited Canyonlands we heard about a father and daughter who died there because the got lost, ran out of water, and died from the excessive heat. Heat, coupled with low humidity, can drain your body of moisture very quickly and, if you are on certain medications (like blood pressure meds), it can lead to dehydration, low blood pressure, dizziness, and blacking out. You don't mess with heat.
We hiked this trail last year. It's short and quiet and usually not busy. It's more of a stroll than a hike. There's limited shade and the trail does get hot as you are walking mostly on sandstone which heats-up as the day goes on. We recommend going early in the day. Even though it's a short hike still take plenty to drink, good shoes, a hat, and maybe a trekking pole. There are some rocky places, some switchbacks, and steep drop-offs along the trail so keep a close eye on children. I would not recommend pets as the sandstone gets hot and there are a lot of scat from bighorn sheep along the trail. Animals, and their scents, have a tendency to keep wildlife away from areas. Make sure to take your time, especially at the overlook. Spend at least 15 minutes there to sit and enjoy the view.
Location: From Saddlehorn Visitor Center, turn left onto Rim Rock Drive and proceed 3.8 miles (6.1 km) to the trailhead on the left. It is also the upper trailhead for Monument Canyon Trail.
Mileage: 0.5 one way (0.8 km)
Difficulty Level: Easy
Elevation: 6,140 to 5,960 feet (1871 to 1817 meters)
Average time: 1/2 hour
Usage: Hiking only. Horses prohibited.
Description: Trail descends gradually and parallels the hillside to the overlook. Look upon the massive rounded Coke Ovens, an illustration of the effects of time and weather on the Wingate Sandstone.

Christmas at the Krohn Conservatory, Cincinnati, OH: Beautiful plants, displays, and LIVE Nativity

It's been years since I've been to the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati, Ohio. With Jenna graduating from college she wanted a place to take pictures, where it's warm, and I thought this would be a good place. Krohn Conservatory opened in 1933 and is located in Eden Park. The land in the park used to belong to Nicholas Longworth and he called it his Garden of Eden. The conservatory has many fea...
Taking a Drive on Vulture Mine Road, Wickenburg, AZ: Something to do when you don't know what to do
มุมมอง 36114 วันที่ผ่านมา
While in Wickenburg, AZ we came upon a day where we had nothing to do. It was already hot at 9:00 am and was only going to get hotter. The whole time we were in Arizona it was almost unbearably hot with daytime highs reaching 105 to 110 degrees. While in Bouse, AZ it hit 117 degrees. So one could ask why would you drive out into the desert on an already hot day? Believe it or not it's actually ...

During the course of producing videos you have to chose what you consider good to help with a story. I'd say 60% to 70% of what I shoot doesn't make it to video. It doesn't mean I throw it away. It doesn't mean they are poor quality. It just means that they didn't fit any particular storyline. So I just store it all for possible use later and for the memories. Because of this I had to buy an ex...

After forgetting to set my alarm, thereby getting up later than we wanted, we arrived at the Mica Mine trailhead about an hour and a half past when we wanted to start our hike. Mornings are cool in the Grand Valley, but temperatures heat up quickly with today being no exception. Fortunately there are shady places in the canyon and a cool breeze kicked-up every once in a while so it made the hik...
Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument: A Place of Twisted Rock and Otherworldly Beauty

In the past Nancy and I have visited other volcanic areas. We've walked the rim of Capulin Volcano in northeastern New Mexico and seen the lava fields of El Malpais in Central New Mexico. There's something mysterious about volcanos. Seeing them active is frighteningly exciting. We usually think of volcanos as being on a remote island somewhere. But to think they are/were here in the US is amazi...

So I could spend a lot of time telling you about all the statistics involving Hoover Dam. I could go on about how much concrete was used, how long it took, how much power it generates. But all that information is available online. This video is about dealing with heat. Now, July is not the best time to be in Arizona/Nevada. Temperatures can soar very high, dangerously high. Merry Christmas Paul
Thank you. Merry Christmas to you, also.
You did great 👍… You are right it is a process or a journey. I am 4wks out postTKR surgery. I am experiencing to same issues you are having my quads are not firing up. With prayer 🙏🏽 and work flexion and strength will come in time. Thanks for sharing your experience.
It looks good for the next day post op
I’ll need the other one done after my left.
Today is my morning for my surgery.
I will be in prayer for you.
Everyone is different. I had a knee revision ie they removed an old TKR I had done in 2000 because it was worn out and replaced it with a new one. The surgeon warned me it was very painful procedure. Guess what I only needed mild pain killers for 2 weeks that’s all. I could walk up and down stairs within 1 month. 10 months on it feels great. Don’t assume the worse outcome
True. Not everyone responds the same way to a medical procedure. Some have a higher pain threshold than others. Some procedures involve more medical intervention than others. Also, with all the strides in surgical procedures it’s making most operations an outpatient procedure where before it was days or weeks in the hospital.
Likewise 🎄 To you and the Family 😊
Good morning Hopefully u and the wife n family had a wonderful Happy Thanksgiving well down here in Chicago it's very cold down dnt like it at all especially with the knee a lot of discomfort on the knee feels like I have a tight rubber band around it just working on with stretches squatting going bike excersises got my bad nd good days ,how is you're knee feeling you're right holidays are going to fast December couple of weeks it will be Xmas 🎄 and this 14th of Dec I year of my knee replacement. Hopefully it will heal better , you take care and happy Holidays 😊.
Yes, this cold weather sure doesn’t help knees. My knee is doing okay. It has good days and not good days. I am able to squat into a “baseball catcher’s squat” for the first time in over a decade. Happy Birthday to your knee!!! Have a wonder Christmas.
I had 36 staples closing mine 12 years ago. Nice to see they’ve improved the look because I’m likely to get my right knee done soon …
Yes it’s quite different. Who knows how it’ll be in another 12 years?
Prayers going you're way for both of yous 🙏🕊️Take care 😊
Thanks so much.
Praying for you Brother
I appreciate it. Looking forward to next year already. Can’t wait to, hopefully, see y’all and play a little corn hole.
Only 102 degrees...you got lucky and had a cool day! Seriously, the heat is intense, and not to be disregarded. The desert IS barren, but it holds a stark beauty of its own. Loved the music you chose. Great video!
I love your sense of humor! Vert good video and reassuring too. Love the kitty!
Thank you. Just being myself and trying to keep a good attitude.
Praying for Nancy tomorrow!!! We love you both in Christ!
Will be praying for Nancy
Thank you!!!
If you can't tell from the video Jerome is NOT a good place to drive a motorhome or tow a trailer. Narrow streets and sharp 180* switchbacks.
I agree 100%.
4:18...don't let the Big Foot, get ya.
Too close for comfort.
Love it. My fear there would be mountain lions. I would rather say hi to a grizzly than one of those big cats.
I agree.
Sorry to double comment but you mentioned ghosts and I can tell you as a chef who has worked in resorts usually in touristy towns around the country, they do tend to have big reputations for being haunted. The shining movie was not so unique in that a lot of tourist towns become empty during their off seasons and when the first few people come back after an off season places like that can have a haunted feel to them. Cape cod used to be known for having lots of haunted houses and there are quite a few others like Hot Springs, AR and Virginia City, NV and it doesn't hurt the tourism either. Btw people like me love those high energy tourist towns, but I know most normal people are more relaxed in quiet places, but I am not normal as most my friends will tell ya lol.
Thanks for the insight into ghosts in tourist towns and resorts.
I lived in Jerome, and raised my family there 1975 -2005. It was a magical time to be a part of Jerome's artist community... I loved it back then, and still love it!

Thank you so much. I enjoy what I do for the Lord. It’s tough sometimes, like with my knee, but He always sees me through. Stop by the store sometime and say “hi”. We miss you!!
@@PaulEstepi am glad you do! what you are doing is not only admirable but good for the LORD and His cause. by your testimony and your knee journey, to your preaching videos! i definitely will sometime! i've been meaning to but get caught up at my new job. i hope to sometime in the next month or so! i never thought i'd miss the food, haha. it makes me happy doing delivery and seeing familiar faces/names though :D thank you!!
Amen 🙏🕊️ hopefully u nd you're wife are doing well yes the weather changes over here in Chicago IL we've been having cool nd warm days which I dnt really like it my knee gets stiff like if a had a rubber band around it but what helps me I do some stretches and knee bending slowly but after. That feels better how's you're knee replacement doing hope u are 100 percent good 😊 take care regards to you're wife have a bless night. From Chicago IL
Thanks. I get the same sensation with my knee, like a band around my knee. But they say that’s normal and that it takes a year for one to “forget” the implant and feel normal. I just stretch when it feels that way. I think the weather isn’t helping.
Prayers for God's blessings to pour over you.
That’s a Female hogan, the male hogan is more of a tipi structure that has a door built as a square shape but both have their different purposes for its uses. Built with both logs and mud to make the summers and winters bearable, beautifully built will definitely keep family’s warm and cool during harsh weathering.
He is beautiful
Praise God hopefully it gets better My regards to you're wife take Care,From Chicago IL 😊
Hope ya do well! Take care man
Thank you.
I watched it and enjoyed the update. Dallas watched it too and then we all sat around the TV and watched it again
Thank so much. I’m hoping to get to Oklahoma again next year, probably the first weekend in August.
Please dont hesitate to get a knee replacement if you need one. I had my right knee done nov 2023 and my left in april 2024. You wont have the knees you had when you were 20, but im pain free, i dont walk like a penguin and i can walk for as long as i want! So worth the pain after surgery 😊
Yes indeed. I’m so happy that I had mine done.
Thank you. I needed to hear that.
Just had surgery 6 hours ago, physios been in had me standing , moving knee etc. It's all about the rehab and medication , I'm on liquid morphine not much pain so I can do my bed exercises, make sure you always take the new that's offered , who wants pain , when the doc says scale of 1 to 10 what's your pain tell him 8/9 even if it's 5 that what the physio told me , you need to start exercising immediately and if your in pain you can't, Goodwick.
Yes indeed. I was walking the day of my surgery. It seemed that most of my pain was at night. It wasn’t bad during the day, but I also have a high pain tolerance. You gotta keep moving and doing the physical therapy at home. I pray for your complete recovery and that you heal quickly.
Ouch
Nice nancy
Glad to see you back hopefully you and the wife are doing well so how is everything going with you're knee replacement is it better how about the stiffness can't wait to see your videos..take care
My knee is doing good, thank you. I feel like I can do just about whatever I want with it, even squatting. My flexibility is almost back to where it was before surgery. Thanks for watching. I have some outstanding videos coming up where I talk about hiking and my knee. God bless.
The economy sucks right now, hope you stay safe!
Thanks. You, too.
