I've just switched from using a DC motor to a stepper motor to drive my telescopes equatorial platform. The problem was, the A4988 stepper motor driver I was using was way too loud. In this video I replace it with a TMC2209 stepper motor driver, and you can hear what a difference it makes.

The shed is a SteelChief (www.steelchief.com.au/) kit, supplied by Sheds n Homes Canberra (www.shedsnhomes.com.au/stores/canberra/), the flooring and foundations were done ourselves, as was the whirlybird.
