literally used in the oscilloscope and if you look at his final reading on the bottom that says vrms. 3 v. That is actually his voltage. I have no idea why he took a meter to check his voltage reading when it's literally on the screen displayed for you literally the point of an oscilloscope is to show your waveguide is it clipping, and gives you the voltage as well . Gives you vmax which is the maximum voltage that was recorded obviously when he turned it up and it started clipping... And then it gives you vmin which is the minimum voltage during the test. Although that is a much lower end oscilloscope... It's probably closer than his reading using a multimeter. You can see how far off the multimeter is. It was like 2.5 and the oscope said 3.v. So the oscope was much closer to his actual voltage because if that unit is supposed to be 4 v out... The oscope showed 3.v.. so that's actually pretty close to what it should be. You also need to do a 40hz tone for you are sub channel... And then you also need to run a 1k tone as well for highs... They should be pretty close if you're also using RCA outputs to a 4-channel amp. Say the 40 hurt tone at 32 distorts...and 34 distorts on the 1K tone for your hight... Just take the average. ... And also depends on the source of your tone/ is it a 0 DB 40hz tone...-5db tone?? Also you have to think about the actual source. Running a tone generator from an app on your phone is not going to be as good as a disc or USB stick directly plugged into the unit. Then are your tones MP3 or flac? Ect... That also matters. Bluetoothing a tone generator from your phone is not going to give you the most exact results. Because technically you would need to play those tones and put the oscope on your phone output to see when and if it starts clipping. So the best all-around way is to have your test tones on a USB drive and have them recorded in a high resolution codex. FLAC wav alac ext. Lots to take into consideration if you really want to do it 100 correct.

That oscope literally told you what the voltage was lol ... The oscope displayed that you had 3.volts. vrms...3.. VMAX was the maximum you outputted obviously when you were clipping... And the v min was lowest. You don't need a voltmeter at all. Oscilloscopes are much more accurate. Whole point in using them. Also look into getting a bnc to rca cable adapter. That way you can just connect the BNC to your oscilloscope and then you will have an RCA tip you can literally just plug into your RCA output on your head unit

I don’t know if that is correct voltage on that bass knob? But if it is that amp craves more than 13.8 13.9 volts. I have two JP23v2 and I’m sending 14.9 15 volts to mine full tilt dropping to 14 flat. If your on stock alt , that’s understandable where your voltage is at . Those JP amps are power hungry! I always use an amp rated at twice the rms of the sub. Impedance rise.

Real world power is what matters a Dyno can say anything and you will NEVER see the power a Dyno shows with impedance rise the efficiency of the enclosure etc your lucky if you get 50-75% of the amplifier output that's why so many people me including run amps with an RMS rating double that if the sub to cover the loss of power you get from said factors great video bro I'm just about to the point where I can start testing my equipment for better content creation but I still need a better camera currently using my phone and I have a second 15" on the way so I am about to have to change everything
