Du König auf dem Kreuzesthron - Original Composition in Bach Style
มุมมอง 5845 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a piece based on the chorale melody "Du König auf dem Kreuzesthron" (literal translation: "You King on the Throne of the Cross"). The melody has four lines that are sung in long notes, first by the sopranos, then the altos. After that there is an interlude and then the tenors and the basses sing the last two lines, again in long notes.
Wow! This is so nice and inspiring! ❤
Wonderful performance and execution. Phenomenal instrument which does justice to the piece.
Nice organ! Groningen?
That 'Reger' section was amazing! I can imagine that you could write a whole piece (as opposed to just a section) in that style.
Bwv 541❤
Nice performance!!
Beautiful job ... do you play contemporary music of living composers? I am a composer as well as organist but haver only written one organ piece from years ago that I am proud of (yes written a few others but abandoned - I realize when you compose for organ it is very easy to focus primarily on that instrument since the resources or so rich -- and yes one wants to compete with the greats Messiaen and Bach etc).
Thank you! Not usually apart from my own pieces, but I could take a look at yours if you'd like
@@gabrieldissenha Sure where can I send it? I also have a recording of its premiere performance way back in 2008.

It all came together for second 🤯
Parabéns! Talento e dedicação dão nisso! 👏👏👏
👏👏👏
A CHILD OF 4 YEARS OLD CAN DO THE SAME...DISGUISTING PERFORMANCE
Registration de classe! Bravo!
I think you might be the only person alive who can improvise canonic forms at this level.
Incredible. This is the dream.
Parabéns Gabriel. Talento e dedicação! 👏👏👏
was für eine schöne Ahrend Orgel
Thank you very much !
I now nothing about Bach or Orgel music. But this style is crazy nice to listen!
Very nice and clean playing. An excellent rendition ;-D
The theme of this piece is reminiscent of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 18 :)
It isn’t hard to believe AI will make music as good as Bachs one day. Bcos the AI needed to learn from bach to make it possible
Can you perform DK Summit next?
Would probably get more views than this
the analysis is supreme! Must have been a lot of work but the result is marvelous!
Sehr schöne Choräle, auch manchmal Reger'sche Eindrücke!
Incredible! I love your running commentary. So much interesting information to absorb and learn while listening to a great music.
Thanks for analysing the Video! In German we say "sequence of falling 5th" instead of "sequence of ascending 4th" - that was a little bit confusing at first. 😆
Interesting commentary. I like your enthousiasm 😃
Wonderful! Very clear and informative analysis of Bach's formal structure.
Fantástico Gabiiiiiii❤🎉
Wonderful!
Amazing! Very intelligent and thoughtful commentary👏👏👏
Great! Here from Reddit. Lovely stuff!
Good
Your composition sounds great, and J. S. Bach or Johann Ludwig Krebs would have been proud to have you as s student. Now with all those enharmonic accidentals, I'm wondering what you'd do with an organ that had more than 12 notes per octave (like, for instance, 19 or 31) . . . unfortunately the actual pipe organs made like that have terrible ergonomics (Arciorgano) or have bad sound quality (Fokker organ).
Thank you! Yes, that would be interesting to try. The Arciorgano is awesome
@@gabrieldissenha (Trying shortened post after TH-cam ate my last *4* posts even though they didn't contain any links.) I just found out that Hans-André Stamm commissioned and Schmacher completed (all the way back in inn 1979) the Enharmonic Pipe Organ, of 48 notes per octave (5-limit Just Intonation, not 48EDO), and it actually sounds good. Linked through the Xenharmonic Wiki page on Hans-André Stamm; the page on this organ leads to a page with sound clips.
Magnifique ! !😊Merci beaucoup ❣
"Don't play this at a wedding, the guests had no idea what I was doing" bro you're my favourite. Great job, sorry those listeners had no clue. You make this look effortless. Thanks for sharing
Bravo! :) Thanks for sharing
Wow, OMG that is so much like Bach. And you composed this? That is amazing!
Nicely done...a good exploration of several musical ideas. A good friend of mine--a harpsichord builder/harpsichordist/organist--explained to me long ago just how difficult a skill composing is. You're on your way!
A wonderful piece, and what a great organ! Thank you for sharing!
Excellent work. You should consider studying the TH-cam improvisations by Gerre Hancock. Maybe consider studying improvisation with David Briggs, etc.
The ending didn't sound like Reger at all, perfectly in the spirit of Bach! Absolutely stunning. Krebs does the same kinda things with switching between duple and triple without changing the meter and no one ever plays it right, but it's so effective!
I was going to say that Max Reger composed a bit in the spirit of Bach . . . .
Uau! Marcha nupcial maravilhosa!!❤👏👏
Parabéns Gabriel!! Sucesso!!😘❤️
Very good ideas, with selected parts from Bach's music. But I think it's baroque and not Bach's style. I know few people who come close to the level of Bach's compositions. So let's not talk about Bach's style. It takes more than that. Regardless, it's a very beautiful composition.
Maravilha meu querido primo! 👏👏👏
Großen Respekt, sehr kreativ, stilecht und detailliert gearbeitet!
Fantastic video, please keep it up! I love what you do!
Very exciting, this is a wonderful prelude to the beautiful song. I'm a bit of an improviser myself, so I'm very excited to hear from you here. Many greetings!
