More then likely someone had a recording device or phone out, worked on the Smiler for a few seasons and this was the general reason we stopped the ride on the first lift hill.

The ride is designed so it can stop itself on the lift hill in case there is another train in front. After the video was cut the train was probably lowered into the station or continued up the lift hill. The ride isn't broken or unsafe, it's quite the opposite.

I thought it was a traditional coaster with new twist turns and loopy loops, but if it's gonna be like this with spinning… That is a… Actually, that seems like a good ride you can get dizzy. The force of the drop gets you every time and quite frankly, I think I can, see myself riding at 24 seven… So long as I don't eat anything🤢

The tie broke right after the airtime hill and the start of the valley, you can see the tie break and the track flex and you can hear it
