Welcome to BILLYBOB THE FARMER PHILLIPS TH-cam channel. I, Lamarcus (Billy Bob) Phillips, am here to help uplift, encourage, motivate, & share some things that helped me to live out my childhood dream of becoming a ROW CROP FARMER! Throughout the process of fulfilling my destiny & dream, I was introduced to MENTORING kids at a local school in the community where I grew up & farmed. Due to COVID-19, I wasn’t able to go back to school until they were able to figure out how they were going to allow visitors in the building. In the meantime, I was praying & asking GOD what should be my next move to reach the kids. Well, GOD gave me the vision to start a TH-cam channel and call it “BILLYBOB THE FARMER PHILLIPS”. Through this channel, I want to emphasize examples on “HOW TO BUILD YOUR DREAMS FROM THE FLOOR!”

DAY: 3 THE HUNT 12/24/2024 11 HOURS OF BOW HUNTING EQUALS: 15 TURKEYS & 1 BUCK #bowhunting #hunting
An 11 hour bow hunt during the Mississippi whitetail season on 12/24/2024. It was a very slow day of hunting. I ended up seeing 15 turkeys and one small 6 pt buck. Very tough hunting season but I’m not giving up on the goal for the season.

Most likely wind speed 🪖
@@omartipps2321 the wind wasn’t blowing but 3.7 mph that evening. It was shocking to see how he reacted to the shot. But I did get him harvested that evening. It was a bad shot but he turned his neck right into the shot and it blew out his main artery in his neck. So I went down to my house and down loaded the video footage of the shot and waited for 3 hours before I went to look for him and I found him. The full video will post this upcoming Thursday 01/30/2025 evening at 3pm.
Cedar looks and smells good
@@braydencox597 yes I does I used it to put in my totes with all of my hunting gear.
I made a bar out of it and an out door cooler, ma mancave smells awesome
@ I know it does smells good
Awesome , I am going to through the same process with my Elite Ember bow . I am doing the same things you are doing ! I am trying to get a clean bullet hole at about 21 feet , (in my basement) . I don’t know if I am right or not , but I was thinking that if I can achieve that it should be help my fletched arrows to be more stable in flight a lot sooner. At my age (75) , I can only draw 37 to maybe 40 pounds . The poundage limit to hunt deer here in New York State is 35 pounds or more . No less than 35 pounds . So far I am tuning with Victory V Force arrows. Total weight of my arrow 12:07 with 125 grain cut on contract broad head is 360 grains .
That’s awesome. Check it about 2 feet first to see if how it’s coming off the arrowrest. Then work it out to 21 feet. Because if the arrow is coming off in a bullet hole from 2 feet then it is going to be easier to tune at 21 feet. But don’t know have tried to nock tune an arrow or not. But nock tuning is a game changer for achieving a bullet at all distances.
My man is a content machine!
Thanks bro. I’m locked and loaded now!!
Looks like a nice plot! Any luck?
Thanks I put my all into it to make sure that the plots provide what the wildlife needs.
Yes I harvest a cull buck yesterday and I will be posting a full video soon.
That’s awesome and those bucks looked pretty big hope you guys get one soon
Thanks. I hope I can get him on his first deer before the season ends. Either one of those bucks would be perfect for him.
Did you get one did they come close enough to shoot
@JenniferAngelici no we did not have any more deer to come out on this particular trip. And we haven’t had any more time to go back to see if we could get a chance to get one for him because of basketball season.
That’s a great father. Pass it down the right way. Hope you 2 get to share some blind time. Some of the best times hunting is with my son!!!
Yes sir we are going to go after church today. Thanks for watching and your support.
Best way to spend your day! Rock on dude!
Yes sir I’m going to hang out all day.

Man we only have a few more weeks of season left😢
6 more weeks over here in Mississippi.
@billybobthefarmerphillips5986 it's too soon 😆
lol yes it but it’s time to hit the woods hard now
Great content! Subbed
@@TrappingTheMitten-JohnHowell thanks for your comment. Some time I wonder if the content is worth it. But you have given me some good advice.
@billybobthefarmerphillips5986 I enjoy channels that are not super commercial. Just guys like me doing what we love to do and sharing it in our online community. Keep at it!
Will do!!
Cool idea. 👍👍
Thanks man.
Keep up the great content. Tuning bows can be a headache sometimes. If you run into any issues, post up a video of the issue and I'm sure you'll get plenty of responses. I do all my own work as well and know the trials and tribulations that are involved. Just take your time and be patient. I have a buddy that has a real thick beard and I just love it when he rips a few hairs out on the release of an arrow. It's entertaining for me anyways.😂😂😂😂
lol too funny but it hurts when it comes out. But I’m going to get them out this week. Starting Sunday I will be bow hunting every day until Christmas unless something comes up.
@billybobthefarmerphillips5986 if you ever get the hankering to hunt MO. Hit me up, I'll put you in a stand. No guarantees other than you'll see deer and you shoot whatever you're happy with putting in your freezer.
@sammyhughes6769 thanks so much for the offer. I’m going have to take you up on that offer. I’m going to start branching out. I’m going to Arkansas in January for a late season bow hunt with my brother.
Wts the material? Looks like plywood
The material is an on rubber conveyor belt that I use.
So what will you put between it to slow your arrows down?
@ these targets are for my rifle range. I’m going to do a video on the build to show how they work.
@@billybobthefarmerphillips5986 right on. I wish I had more of a backstop for my range to do more targets like that. Proper setup 🙏. Nothing makes range fay better than zero maintenance targets
Like the spitting scope on top. Good idea.
Thanks my mind is always trying to figure out how to get more efficient. Thanks for watching.
Yup love them older 8000s
Yes sir I think they are the best that was made in my lifetime so far.
Looks like the old 8410 is pulling it pretty good 👍
IT DID HANDLE IT PRETTY GOOD. HOPEFULLY THE MARKET CHANGES AND WE CAN UPGRADE WITH 2 MORE NEW 25 FT CHISEL PLOWS.
Nice work!
Thanks
Please use your cheapest as the substitute lathe unless you never want a straight round hole ever again 👍👍
Will do I was just checking to see if it would work. Thanks
Those will be some bad ass food plots.
Yes sir. They are coming along nicely. The turkey has been hitting the seeds pretty hard lately. But we finally got a decent rain last week and they are shining.
What you in
2000 JOHN DEERE 8410
Exact draw length is 👑 king
Yes it is I haven’t adjusted my draw length since I started hunting with a bow. A viewer watched the video and encouraged me to check it. It was a 1.5 inches too short and just letting it out change everything. But I’m retuning everything and nock tuning as well.
Food on the table is food on the table. Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Wild turkey for the holidays, nothing better.
Well wild turkey for thanksgiving would be nice but unfortunately we don’t have a fall turkey season here in Mississippi anymore. But best believe I will be become a turkey hunter this spring.
Bullet holes, perfect flight 💯👍💪
@@randyfee4724 I’m running late but I’m going to try to harvest the Mississippi whitetail limit with my bow and video cameras. Maybe a couple of long range shots one or two videos.

@aggies_EST.2024 thanks
@aggies_EST.2024 Thanks im going to get deep into arrow tuning as well.
You need to let the weight down about 50 lb
@@KevinTodd-u7d I’ll be back in shape in a few weeks.
Realistically I would expect people to try and help others be better. Your comment was unrealistic. The bow more than likely maxes out at 70 pounds so the lowest he could possibly go would be around 50 with the right adjustments. With more repetitions he will build strength in the right muscle groups to improve the pull of the bow. Be nice and treat people with respect and learn how to give constructive feedback. It goes much better.
Honestly it looks like you could use 2 extra inches on draw length. Youve got narrow shoulderblades like myseld so you may shoot good. But trust with alil more youll have a better more broad draw. Knock em dead and stay blessed
Thanks I’m going to try it out
Good shot brother, how much weight do you have on that string?
My bow pounding is set at 68lbs and arrow weight is 596 grains.
Heavy arrow. I'm sure you watched seen the Ranch Fairy. If you ever wanna dive deep down the rabbit hole when building your own Arrows watch his video on nock tuning. If your bow is tuned, it will allow you to tune your arrow and achieve perfect arrow flight without fletchings. Then, after fletching, it will help stabilize your arrow easier with any fixed blade broad head. Good luck this season! Be safe out there. 🏹
That’s what I’m working on now. I never tuned arrows until now and I have seen a big difference. It’s amazing how much it changes the flight of the arrows
@ nice same to you I’m going to posted a video or two when I get everything together
Is it better than go pro?
I never owned a go pro but. I will say dji has been really good but the buying point for this one is the night mode and the Bluetooth remote
Very good DOZER RUN MANY OF THESE SMALLER DOZERS
Oh yes they are this the second one we ever owned.
