Toys for Tots Volunteer Day for me

Today I did something new! I volunteered with the Ghostbusters of North Texas Organization to help the marines do their annual Toys For Tots drive thru. It was a great experience (even if it rained and 40 degrees outside). Now I have to prepare for my basket sale tomorrow. Just knowing that I have take. So much out of storage, I can now start to organize some welcomed new space downstairs. #toy...

Working on it. Waiting all day for a baby. I know as soon as we get home (from this rush hour) they will call to come back. I say hold on for 6.5 hours so he gets 2/5/25 birthday 🎉

Hi, Allison! I know I'm late, but I hope it went even smoother than you expected.
Unfortunately I found out that my store didn’t do anything to advertise my sale so nobody knew about it and all that work was a flop. I sold maybe 4 things 😥. On the sunny side, I have much of my stuff priced now and I don’t have to do that when I need to fill my shelves. Dr. Visits are on hold but they are being kind by filling my Rx without seeing me. The meds still cost thousands of dollars a month but we are making it work. DoorDash is doing ok as a little filler when we want a date night without guilt🥰. Thanks so much for asking! It REALLY MEANS A lot to me! Happy weekend 💙

@@Daydreamologist fortunately we planned well for retirement (just didn’t think it would work out like this). We’ve taught our daughters about savings too and they started using a financial advisor starting in college 🙌🙌

OMG I’m in this phase of organizing my sewing room but I’m determined to get it tamed. I’m trying to work with what I have. It’s a challenge!!
You can do it! Ask me any questions and I will help if I can. I can at least help motivate if you need that. After I did my craft room, I feel that I CAN conquer the next task (I just have to MAKE the time). It is going to be my linen closet! I had to get new sheets out when I was sick this week and everything fell out on me….IT IS TIME TO TACKLE IT 🙌

I bought a bunch of Corning Wear (blue cornflower pattern) before it was so desirable. Dow Corning made this for approximately 100 years. They stopped in the late 1990’s. I understand that Pyrex (copycat) is being produced in another country and the capitalization is different. I also noticed some Fire King in your video, I have a piece or 2 from my mom 😊.

You are right. I just started a new practice to ground myself when I’m feeling overwhelmed. Stop, deep breath in, and remind myself that I am in the present moment. It slows my mind down and I can assess what I am feeling. It only takes a minute but it keeps me focused and not distracted/overwhelmed

I do have an update but I’m having technical difficulties with editing. The next few days I put myself together and moved on. I had to leave that in the past and go for the positive side of things 🥰

You are right! Laughing does help! I find after a cry I usually end up laughing at myself. I can’t go on disability because I still want to have my business at the antique shop and maybe someday open my own store. I have bin watched all your videos and also subscribed to see your progress. I have been on this same journey for 2 years come February. I have a full-time job and only work on weekends taking back my house. So it's taking me a lot longer. I also get burnout, so i go weeks to months of doing nothing. Trust me, it's harder starting back up. You will get there. Take it easy on yourself, and don't beat yourself up cuz you didn't accomplish as much as you hoped to. Some progress is better than none. I always tell myself. Just a suggestion. Make one of your kids' bedrooms as your store room. Take back your guest room for Mom. Count your lucky stars you still have her. I lost mine 15 years ago. Remember YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!
Thank you! You are right and yes, I’m blessed to have her. I’ve got my side hustle of the crafting, an antique booth and I have a part time job from home. I think that is why the overwhelming feelings come in, but hey, once i have this done it will be on to the next best thing, right 😉
