This should have been insulated, low-e or vinyl, me personally I woulda asked the customer if they wanted to insulate the building, at least the roof since there is a mezz floor, those r-panels get hot, and I'm sure you guys know how hot those panels can get. Nice build though.

I just built my own 40x60 red iron 20,000 for all the metal, doors, trim, and gutters.

I am wanting to get a 50 x 50 carport style structure about18ft tall with no side walls, (just roof) , it looks like the radiant barrier would be a good option to go with due to this being an open air style building, I personally do not think spray foam would hold up in an outdoor open air type roof, I really like the radiant barrier option and think it would be the best option, what would be your opinion

I have stupid Janson doors. The shaft does not protrude, to get an operator connected to it. I believe the company was sold and no one make anything that would operate the doors. I have 2-10' roll up doors.

I have an insulated and heated 30x50 garage. The isnsurance company didn't even know what to insure it for. I think it was over $65k

I got a question. So you got 1-in insulation on the inside spray but you do not have a insulated garage door. I'm from the north. I'm just trying to get around in my head. What what's the sense in insulating if it's not insulated door?

You certainly show a lot of concrete there.. are you talking about just the concrete for the garage the rest of the concrete looks just as new and if it's all that concrete that's a hell of a deal

Bolt ups are great when building requires wide clear spans. You get the engineer's stamp and protection against faulty design. When building a 30x40, I can have raw still cut and erected before building company can get back with your quote. Almost all providers are at least two months lead time, most much longer, even on simple builds. By that time my customers have been enjoying their custom steel building for over a month. East Texas, SW Arkansas Costs have driven builders to using cheaper, lighter materials. 30x40x12 should be at least 6x9 w beam rigid frame, with 8" purlins on 5' centers in roof, and 6" purlin gurts at 85.5" for door header height.

Cold form is trash, sure its cheaper . After many hurricanes in FL, the red iron is still there, cold form, not so much. The cold form lose sheet metal and the thin walled structural memebers get torqued up. Personally i build weld together, heavy walled steel buildings. Vitually no maintenance and they will outlast me.
