Hi Dru, Glad you enjoyed Vengeance Hunters bro. Thank you for the reply. Thanking of doing TH-cam videos again? We miss listening on what you have to say brother man. 8^) Anthony..
Another great video. You deserve a lot more subscribers.
@@discolegend2000 Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed the video!
Hi Dru, Long time so see brother man. What's new with you lately. Playing any good Neo-eo games as of late. I miss The Savage Gaming Show you use to have. 8^) Anthony..
@@Charlie-Cat. Hey Anthony! Long time. Hope you are doing well! Vengeance Hunters was great, really enjoyed that.
Nice Video ! Sub & Big Like ! And Love Retro Jajamaru Games !
Some quality fights there dru buddy 😄 ive never played contra 3 but really want to just for that fight
@@steve36207 Thanks Steve! Definitely worth playing through Contra 3! There are plenty of other great boss fights in it! I'll probably work on a second installment in the near future!
Aim want the game for neo geo
awesome dude , cool idea for a vid
@@BastichB64K Thanks! It was great fun to make. A follow up will definitely be in the works soon 😂
Gale racer was a disappointment. No seamless levels, (loading every 2 minutes literally) draw distance about 10 foot, and the cool car sprites are replaced with horrendous boxy, hardly animated warping polygon models!
My favourite arcade board. It's so quirky.
some great picks mate, I love fantastic journey, but I have to say I do prefer Sexy parodius 🤣just feels a bit more polished and even more wacky ! great vid
Thanks! It was so difficult to pick just 10, and I left out so many I wanted to include.
All three of the games in this video are actually my favorites in there series. (Except SOR3. I slightly prefer the second one.)
I have been looking for some 80's/90's computer/video games youtubers to follow. I like your stuff so far, hope you continue. Really appreciate the fact you have clearly scripted what you are saying and (unlike some) aren't just talking random nonsense. Keep it up :)
@@adams5418 That's awesome, glad you are enjoying the content! I'm always working on something so hopefully the next one won't take too long now!
Good video. I guess some people excuse Sonic 3 by looking at Knuckles as one huge game instead of two separate ones but yeah as is Sonic 3 just feels like it ends almost out of nowhere. It's really a shame what they did with Streets of Rage 3. Even just a simple translation of Bare Knuckle 3 would have been so much better. Probably still not as good as 2 but toning down the difficulty, including the full game with Ash and his level, having a much, much better story along with leaving the characters in their traditional colors, you can forgive a little bad music for some expanded and exciting gameplay.
Number 3 sucks in generall
Sonic 3 was incomplete but Sonic 3 and Knuckles really made up for it. So3 was a mess, I agree - far too easy to miss the good ending. And Golden Axe was always so punishing as a kid.
I'd add Road Rash 3 and Urban Strike
Good picks. Urban Strike was particularly disappointing to me after I thought they made so many nice improvements going from Desert to Jungle Strike.
@@francescosmith7859 They are great picks, such a shame as the first two Road Rash games were incredible.
Fantastic content as always. Thanks for all your efforts in making this.
@@skywalkerranch Thanks for watching, really glad you enjoyed the video!

It was so pathetic of Capcom to sue (and luckily lose) DataEast because their Street Fighter was "inspired" by DataEasts Karate-Do.
I haven’t seen the video but I’m pretty sure pac man is on top 1.
Lmao I was right. Btw a really creative and awesome arcade game Namco created on the mid-80s is Libble Rabble. Such a shame it wasn’t ported to Europe…
Good idea for a video. Curious to see the list but as I'm just getting started I think for me I'd have Splatterhouse #1, Dig Dug #2 and I guess that silly old game Pacman deserves some respect at #3 🙂 good list! A couple of games (especially the light gun games) I never realized were made by Namco.
😁 Thanks for watching! All three had to be on there. Namco made some great lightgun games, can't wait to play Time Crisis 2 again.
I was thinking how did i miss this... then realised for some reason i was unsubbed 🤦 not sure how that happened. I didnt see that number 1 comimg bud 😂
Top vid.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!
Still love Bad Dudes, but i mostly play the Jap version because it has far better speech effects and only a couple of changes like power ups and the title Just says Dragon Ninja. The jap version was everywhere when i was growing up ime sure i did see the USA version in one arcade. I have it on Evercade and the Amiga has the best music on my mini. I would love to see a soft reboot. Crude Buster aka Two Crude Dudes the follow up is also good but i still prefer Bad Dudes. ❤
I absolutely love the first Streets of Rage. Obviously not quite as good as the second game, but some of the elements (calling the police in 😂) are amazing and I missed that in the sequel. I like some of the music more too.
I had Bad Dudes for nes.
What did you think of it? It was ok back in it's time but I find it hard to go back and play now.
The mame version sure the nes version complete crap.
You have no idea how special it was getting to play Karate Champ when it first dropped.. And, especially when you got free credits.. They had to literally drag me away from the cabinet! I never forgot the name Data East
Good video. I think this game gets a bad rep but I really like it. I enjoyed the NES version as a kid (though I recognize it stinks now) but the arcade version is just great. Simple and fun. I have most of the first 6 levels or so worked out pretty well but that boss rush at the end always whips me and it just ends up being how many "quarters" does it take to finish. I know Splatterhouse is made by Namco but I kind of look at that as the next step. Still a simple beat em up but one that incorporates horror and gore and these are easily my two most played games on Antstream Arcade.
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it! Yes that boss rush definitely starts eating through the credits! There is some enjoyment to be had from the NES version but it is really difficult to go back and play thesedays.
Cool vid, keep up the good work.
Thanks Lance, glad you enjoyed!
I loved Cabal. We had it in our arcade.
Such a great game, especially if it had the original trackball controls! Thanks for watching!
Very interesting!
And boy did this franchise make one heck of a comeback!
It really did! It takes a bit of getting used to but I've really enjoyed First Mission. Thanks for watching!
@@megadruretrogames You’re welcome. I enjoyed it as well.
I love taito legends 1 and 2 on PS2 so many great games
Amazing collections! It was a great way to play so many classics at the time.
No "Heavy Smash" ? i think its even better then Windjammers - just my opinion But for SURE better then Karnov...
I just realized the Bad Dudes stage music sounds like Castlevania Symphony Of The Night stage 1 music
I like that this list is different from all the other Top 10 on TH-cam, where it’s always Final Fantasy 6, Zelda 3, Chrono Trigger, Metroid that are in the Top 5.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you like the choices I made!
Great vid 👊 Konami has made some awesome arcade classics.
Love the Arcade video's you've been doing! I've added your stuff to run in my arcade room on my video monitors as back ground ambiance. Keep them coming!
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed.
An awesome list. All bangers. I might swap one of em out for heavy barrel, but data east usually made some solid titles.
Thanks for watching! Heavy Barrel is such a great game! So many top games I had to miss out!
Ninja giden arcade had one of the most disturbing continue screens in video game history
Bless Capcom for even trying to put Street Fighter on the game boy 😂
Nice to see your picks Dru. Surprised you never brought up Streets of Rage on the Master System. Probably my favourite on that console. Your love for DD clearly shows 😅. I can't say I share your enthusiasm for that series. Despite my love for the genre the DD series never fully clicked with me. There are titles I do like. DD Advance on gba and Super DD I think are great. I also enjoy the original gb game too. I'm trying to get into them more through the various collections that have come out but they just don't flow for me as much as they should.
A good video with a lot of good games. I'm not as big of a fan as Double Dragon as you are but Double Dragon 2 for NES in particular is truly an excellent game. I'm also a big fan of River City Ransom for the NES and for the Master System I have to give some love to Streets of Rage 1. When you get to the 16 bit era we beat em up fans were so spoiled as we could keep naming quality games for both the Mega Drive and SNES.
This is a good list and not influenced by ratings and fashionable games. I do like my beat em ups but never played your no 1 and now I definitely will. I also like The Takeover but for me there are better such as Streets of Red: Devils Dare Deluxe and Mother Russia Bleeds. And it's great to see a list like this without a Zelda game great games but they are just not my style. My gaming origins is arcades (I grew up with over 30 arcades within a 10 mile radius and at least 12 within a 5/10 minute walk and my parents pubs had many video games in them) and I love that style way more. Great videos keep up the great stuff
Great video m8! The most obscure I've played is Arabian Fight. It has a bizarre zoom-in and zoom-out function that at times makes your character take up half the screen. Super frustrating to play and very bad hit detection. Overall a fun oddity to check out though.
Hey thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it! Ah yes, Arabian Fight. Very ambitious with all the scaling effects. Shame about the gameplay. I know what you mean about the hit detection, it's terrible.
Not sure how obscure they'd be considered, but I always liked Combatribes and Gang Wars in the arcade.
I'd definitely consider those two to be fairly obscure, especially Gang Wars. I didn't see either of them very often in the arcades I visited at the time. Thanks for watching 👍
Bad dudes was so awesome as well.
Dude the robocop game just brought me back to my childhood and gave me crazy memories. Unbelievable game
I have some good memories playing theses great classic arcade games especially Alien Storm and Michael Jackson Moon W game 👍 video
Yeah you missed phantasy star 4 and shining force 2, both considered absolutely top notch in their genre.
I give this list an S rank. I love Road Rash II and Sonic 2. While I didn't get into Streets of Rage 2 as much, I haven't played it properly outside of on my PSP as an adult and my introduction was the original which I played so much of as a kid making it very hard for me not to be biased towards it. Even with my bias, the soundtrack to the original is top tier and I love the visuals. I know that they can be seen as being not as polished, but the use of colour was very appealing and the areas themselves stood out in a great way.
