I am pleased with the developments in Serikin. I visited this Sarawak/Kalimantan border township 12 years ago in 2009. At that time there were merely rik kitty shacks and huts lining the single street. In this video I can see some descent shop houses and more permanent stalls. Though the goods sold are mostly Indonesian brought over from Kalimatan, its varieties are plentiful and cheap. That draws the huge weekend crowds from Kuching every weekend. Quite an interesting day trip outing too.
