Jane Ashworth is a utter disgrace, she became Stoke council leader May 23 and has done nothing for the city. We had a Conservative led coalition before then and they delivered many new developments before we received the Leveling up money. Since then nothing done and she just blames the Conservatives for what she has not done. We had a multi storey carpark built for the benefit of an office block being built straight after. However she immdiately canceled it and then she uses the fact the carpark is not full as a political tool against the former Tory led council. Well it wont be full jane if the reason it was built was canceled! We have £20m for a site in the city centre called Etruscan square yet instead of borrowing money to put towards it to build something for the benefit of the masses she again does nothing. In fact she immediately canceled the planned arena saying she personally does not want one. She uses this site as a weapon again against the former council. She has no interest in leveling up improving Stoke on Trent whatsoever, all she is interested in like all socialists is appealling to her core voters the benefit scrounger.

The Government is turning the "debts" held at the Bank of England, that the Bank of England "bought back" using Quantitative Easing (QE) created money as a result of the Financial Crash, Brexit and then COVID, back into real public debt, by "selling" the debts back to the "markets" (i.e. re-borrowing the money) and then CANCELLING out the money received. It's doing this to cancel out the QE created money. This is called QUANTITATIVE TIGHTENING. It's cancelling out (by adding to our public debt) £ 100 BILLION a year, and is aiming to wipe out (and add to public debt) nearly a £ TRILLION in total. That's means we'll be stuck in austerity, unable to do very much about the climate emergency and talking about the Financial Crash for decades to come, until our society breaks down completely or it all ends in a big flash. Perhaps we should be DOING something to stop this????!
