Vince showed some humanity here… He had the decency to scrap his own death storyline for the sake of paying respect to an actual death. He screwed up when Owen Hart died but on this occasion he did the right thing. I also think removing Chris Benoit from WWE history was a good move. A man who killed his wife and son should never be glorified or promoted. Good job Vinny Mac!

I was for justice to bring down that murderer, but the ending was lazy writing. Either that here in the video, or some stuff out of this comment section would be more in line with the "original" Light Yagami during Ls period. This all here feels like something he would have come out with....but the actual ending was weird: It felt weird already the first time I watched it, completely out of character. Like: Just as one guy here wrote, he could have ordered Mikami to take 1-2 sheets of paper from the original Notebook alongside him, just in case if something fails..... Like: he could have written the names on the "fake Notebook" first, just as a test. Then, if 40seconds passed and nothing happened....he should have ran away instead of going inside, and then write the names in a "safer" location on the torn out sheets of the original notebook. He already knew the names and the faces, so there would have been no need for him to stay at that door where he would have risked to be captured. By all that, there would also be no "proof" of Light beeing Kira. Actually easy. And it would have went that way, if not fo the plot. But story needs to end and an evil guy like Light needs to be stopped, sooooo.....gg

There are a lot of people who are very good actors and can make you believe anything they want. Vince McMahon is not one of those people. He always seemed a little too giddy for the character he was playing. With that being said, he is not acting here. He's very reserved in the way he's speaking as opposed to how flamboyant he was during Eddie's announcement. He was sad, for sure, but he knew Eddie was in pain. Idk, I guess there was just a big difference between the two, and you can see in his eyes how shocked and sad he is.

Well I remember this moment and I remember WWE was darkest moments when Chris Benoit passed away and I can tell Monday Night Raw was on the air but the whole arena was empty because this is like one of the darkest moments in WWE history

I remember seeing this on The Score (aka SN360) that night and wasn't surprised the storyline is scripted until it turned out he killed his second wife, son and took his own life. How travesty the WWE went in 2007-08 as it was in god damn bad shape after that day.

Usually before Chris’s death, he was scheduled to fight cm punk for the ECW title a battle of submission holds. that would’ve been a great match since Chris Benoit needs to win one more heavyweight champion to become a grand slam champion

I still to this day wonder how Vince really feels about Chris. Despite his horrific behavior and actions, there were multiple circumstances surrounding this tragedy-the death of his best friend Eddie Guerrero, his unknown brain condition, etc. He was a phenomenal wrestler who was battling an even bigger challenge than his demanding career-his own personal demons. I truly hope that he at least found peace and asked for forgiveness after his actions. Rest in Peace to Nancy, Daniel and Chris Benoit.
