You like Star Trek or model building in general? Then my channel has what you want. From the Enterprise to Battlestar Galactica, my channel entertains you on how I build these models and more. Entertainment is the key and if you happen to learn then all the better. I hope what you see will help you build your models as best you want them. Everyone has their own way of doing a build and if there is a technique I do that will help you in yours then that is great! Most of how I build the models is self taught and observing how others did their ships. So I hope my channel helps you in your build and also be entertained. Have fun and leave comments.

537 Scale Enterprise Refit Build (Part 1)
Just joined your channel. Getting reayd to do the 537 Enterprise myself. I have a couple of questions as I am just now getting back into the modeling realm. 1- What do you use as your power source to check the various power lines? I see that occasionally you use a 9V battery, but when you are testing full circuits (15:17) it looks as if you have a full 12V power supply somewhere off camera. 2- What do you recommend for a soldering iron for these projects? I have a full size soldering iron, but it it too bulky and unweildy for delicate work such as this. Thank you for any help you can offer. Looking forward to watching the rest of the build.
Well 1. for the full lighting test I use a 12 volt 1amp power supply. You don't really need anything more powerful than that. The main lighting I use needs a 12 volts 1amp source to work, all the other I run the main power through a 5 volt regulator that cuts down the amps to the regular LEDs so they last longer. 2. I have a Weler soldering unit and use a fine point tip to solder with. Most of my work is pretty small and need the point tip.
Are you drilling out those Windows ?
Yes I am
@epycmodels946 What Size Drill Bit are you using ?
I think it was a #78
What paint (color And brand) did you use for the off-white exterior?
I used a Light Grey Tamiya Surface Primer
Back when your camera equipment was more ancient :) But this is a great series as it really shows well how to scratchbuild a really good nebula. Still a real reference.
Nice work how much do yiu charge to light one and build if rhe model is provided
If you have it already I charge $1200 Canadian ($880 American). Half up front then the rest after completion.
I'm curious what rotary tool you use for drilling out the windows? Working on my E and that did not go well for me, even on low speed settings it melted the plastic and caused issues.
Just used a dremmel with I think a 78 bit. You need to let the drill do the work. Do not force it. If you do it messes things a bit.
Hmm .. pretty nice! I always thought the Voyager was the prettiest of all Star Trek ships.
Coming along well are you lighting the engines
Yes they are already lit.
Nice work, Ken! This model does exactly what I'd want it to do if I owned it.
What an amazing job, I'm having to buy the Tomy diecast Refit cause I have no modeling skills to speak of. The Tomy's paint work is interesting. Forget what it's called but they have like a big balloon or rubber bubble they dip in a silkscreen ink, and then they transfer the ink in that Aztec onto the surface. They do that four times in four colors one over the next. They also said they're using the same kind of paint that taxidermists use for painting fish that hang on the wall for sportsman. Still I admire one who can actually build one and make it look so good, but I'm overjoyed that Tomy is making one out of metal for people like me that will never build one. thanks for the video.
A Voyager ship lost in another alternative universe created by The Borg.... The ship extensively damaged consisting of front section of the saucer missing(up to the upper dome) 1 engine missing the other only 50% usage possible.... In the Alt-verse there is wreckage from other ships from different timelines & Species eg sections of Birds of Pray(most common wreckage found), Romulan, Vulcan etc... The Voyager remaining crew are forced to use those wrecks and build a new ship... The ship now has 2 bird of pray front sections grafted side by side onto the front of the saucer section.... Engine`s replaced with Romulan engines... And Vulcan version of a Deflector array.... Now they are forced to fight new enemies... Help new friends.... And to find a way home...........
Looking good! have been tempted to do a voyager model myself just wish they would do it 350th scale lol
That turned out awesome! Great job!
Looks great. Where did you get your COB lighting from? I haven’t seen them cut into that short of length before. That would be handy to cut them half the size of what I bought.
I get them off of Ebay.
@@epycmodels946 I’ll take a look. Thank you.
Do you have a link to the power adapter you used for my Enterprise B and this style base? I’m doing the same stand with the E I’m going to attempt, but am not sure which wall plug to get.
It is a Triad 12 volt 1amp Power Supply. Model # 812WSU120-1000. I purchased it at DigiKey.ca

@@epycmodels946 awesome, appreciate it!
🙊 Nice work Ken!!! 👏👏👏
You are the bravest man I know.
Dangerous series for me to have watched. The C is my favorite Enterprise, and I’m really tempted to try and build and light one. I have one currently I commissioned years ago, but it has no lighting. I’d take it apart, but I worry about destroying it.
I can do it for you.
I'm struggling to build this lol do u offer help
🥹
I have no doubt that when the technology becomes available for some sort of gyroscopic anti grav effect comes along that you could pursue that..or a maglev technology..I suspect it's around somewhere..
I'm in awe of the patience and skill , creativity you invested in this..beautifully done!
I think the only time painting the aztek pattern is worth doing is if you’re going for the iridescent paint job the ship had in TMP. Otherwise these decals work amazingly well.
Finally finished this series. Lighting is absolutely stunning, makes me very excited to see you bring my Enterprise B back to life. Painting the screws black gave the stand a much cleaner look than the sloppy putty job the previous builder did. The finished product is fantastic, as usual. You do amazing work.
I am looking forward to rebuilding your B
Nice work on the FO : ))
Your intro music is the bomb like your model work. Very well done!!
Lighting epyc ❤
❤ sooo cool best movie ever! Great job on this build too!
Sweet build! Nothing says aggression like a Mk-9. It is a design that just says war machine.
Attention to detail, Excellent Work!
Great take on an old subject. The MPC kit I built as a teen didn't have quite this amount of detail.
Very nice!
I watched this after a very long and frustrating day at work. It was like a balm for the mind. This is perfect. Thanks!
Love tie fighters I have few of then. Still want more .😊
I enjoy your build process on your kits. Some observations I've made are two things. It's my opinion that the glue gun, while useful, is too messy for securing wires. A small drop of CA glue might be simpler and cleaner to use. Small details are important. I noticed the mirrors on the car looked as if Michael Knight was at the bar too long. Much love was put into the car's assembly. Let's straighten the mirrors. Presentation is important for the final build. I would enjoy watching you build a kit using Thunderbird 3 (piloted by Alan Tracy). Any builds of the Thunderbird kits would be entertaining.
Your work is nice! But the "ooh"s and "ah"s are Hella Cringe! And a Lot Creepy! Jus' sayin' bro… ✌👍
"Kill" is such a strong word… how about "endless stun"… "perma-stun"? Maybe the settings are 'stun' and 'traumatize'. 😆 Love the 1999 tech!
Looks good. This is a nice size model.
Really great job on the build. Turned out great.
That is awesome 👌 its my favourite eagle the freighter. Looks amazing 👏 😊
That is an impressive build! Space 199 will always have a place in my good memories section.
Fantastic build 👏 looks amazing. I love the eagle freighter its my favourite
Thanks for doing these videos. I can't always hang out on the streams. I like to see your solutions for the electronics.
I'm really surprised that you didn't do the frames around the black panels on the beak.
That is one interesting model. I love a challenge so Space 1999 models are in my top 3.
Just a heads up from other builds I've seen. You might want to replace the landing gear springs with stronger ones.
What was the scale of this kit again? Same as the Oberth, by change? What happens if you give a Defiant, the secondary hull & pylons, of a Oberth?
I think it is a 537 scale. With the engines and secondary hull of an Oberth would be interesting
I think the Defiant engines are fine, but if the Oberth ones can be fuse into them... Then can the Oberth upper hull be used to fill out the underside of the Defiant? Still, it would give a nice model, I bet. I always found it a shame, after finding out they where almost the same size, in canon, that they never went with a dis-information move, thus claiming the Defiant was a new type of Oberth sub-class, a scout & science ship, not a warship. That the extra warpcore, lets her pull a Prometheus long range run...... The general long range mission capabilities, are just bonus, which in the Gamma Quadrant, could be off use. On the other hand Star Trek Voyager, but with the Defiant and a Obert (that gets wrecked or so), now that could have been fun. If only because of the odd modifications they are then forced to make, all the time. Simply because the Defiant is quite short ranged and the max warp speed, is limited. That it adds to what she can fire on the enemy (nose pod & secondary hull, second warpcore)... Can even explain what happend to the Oberth upper hull, if in Voyager it's place. 🙂
Polar Light has a Defiant kit and a Oberth & Klingon Bird Of Prey kit, both in 1:1000. Would that then be of interest?
Its looking great Ken 😊
