Yamaha cx-1 Pre-Amplifier & mx-1 Power Amplifier with Yamaha NS690MKII, via Arcam r-Play
The song is an old (more than 20 years) Burmese song. I choose this song because firstly many familiar songs have copyright issue. And you can enjoy simply music!

The band, recording & music production are just OK not so fantastic. The source is from TH-cam played via Airplay. The cables used are also just OK, normal DIY speaker cables, Chord Company and Audioquest Ruby interconnects. No post audio processing, only normalization as in every recording. Room treatment is minimal. The audience can observe the quality of the speakers and amplifiers as in normal set up & conditions.

Any difference with the SA9800 regarding the sound ?
Sounds great. Do both MA and KEF hooked to a subwoofer? and I have the MA RX6. How much difference will it have when paired with or without the sub?
Hey! How is it for temperature? I got my MX1 in top, separated by a shelf, to allow for cooling. It likes to operate in class A, and with the slim chasis, I noticed that it gets warmer than the MX1000. Maybe the yamaha speakers have a more benign impedance curve than my Kef 107/2 or B&W.
Which have better sound, MX-1 or MX 1000??

Wonderful equipment complimented by right speakers, I use my MX-1 with the NS-1000Ms.
Great sound from a pair of speakers that cost less than $300 now, wow it's a great time to be a beginner audiophile I've been audiophile for thirty years now and I would be happy with those speakers 👍😃

Thank you! My apology for late reply. The recorder is Zoom H6. You can put the recorder at a nice distance (4- 6 ft) & stabilize. Set the loudness (volume) between 75-80 dB, lower than that might not yield a good sound, unless you want to edit in audacity. You can download SPL meter app. If you have tools, you can live feed the music into the video, if not you can mix audio & video later.

Thank you! The source is Arcam rPlay, which is basically DTS Play-Fi streaming platform. Much better than bluetooth.

Sorry mate, didnt kno that you asked! LS50 is better in terms of clarity, size to sound quality ratio. But if you want better sound stage, just go for tower or bigger box. Me, i sold LS50 & keep MA silver cuz i use it only for cinema set up.

Beautiful system, but a recommend an upgrade on the speakers would be the next step for those glorious old amp/pre-amp.

Yes they are good enough for recording as you could hear! Never heard of a speaker sounds that smooth & balanced with that kind of price. But a bit of feeling hollowness sometimes, cuz a good used speaker pair worth only $400-500 hahaha.

Its a good amp overall. The base is excellent & powerful, the sound is very musical, not too warm. But like many other amplifiers, design, sound & price are up to individual preference. For me, i bought it & keep it bcuz of its 140 W power & AV direct. You can get a solid sound when you connect it to AV receiver for movies.
