Why wasn’t Matthew not a huge star is always been beyond me. One of the greatest songwriters ever. Just a massive talent who has worked with some great artists he let in his beautiful musical world.

What a treat. Just stumbled on this interview. Thank you for sharing this and I thank Joe Wissert for giving me this album way back in the mid-1970s when I was working with him at Hollywood Sound Recorders. He knew I'd like it and to this day, it is still one of the greatest albums ever. I remember Joe expressing the recording done in the subway. Wow. All incredible stuff. Thank you very much!

I'm not a giant Frampton fan, but this might be an opportunity to get to know Peter's work better. Cheers! Why did you have the masters plated at RTI, but pressed at "Gotta Groove"? Why not have them pressed at RTI as well? (not complaining, just trying to learn more about your process) Just curious, was there a reason you didn't release "Somethin's Happening"? Wasn't that released before "Frampton"?

Thanks for posting this as it's my favorite take of Jackson's early period ,done in the classic jazz trio days, such as The Nat King Cole trio!

If I could afford this pressing, I would show it to the world! Best album of 1979 and this pressing was much needed.
