I recall seeing this video shortly before seeing the band at ProgPower.

Good LORD have I missed your voice, Henrik! This brings back so many memories of me blasting 11 Dreams and Everblack back during my high school days every morning during my junior and senior years. AND college. I truly and sincerely hope for the best of you, hope you’ve been well and seriously hope that you can get the band back together, even if not everyone can make it back. Wow! What a nostalgia trip hearing your voice again. I’ll be listening to 11 Dreams and Everblack on repeat for the next few days now. XD

There is so much emotion in this piece.

This song jumped out at me all those years ago (wow is it over 20 years now?). This bridge section is unbelievably powerful. I don't know exactly where your inspiration came from for it, but I became a Christian 8 years ago and Jesus truly is the way out of the darkness.

Damn, how did it take me this long to learn there was an honest attempt to reunite the Mercenary lineup from the years I listed them as my all time favourite band? Saw you at Summer Breeze 2004 when you were a substitute for Totenmond. It was on such short notice you didn't make the festival booklet and 11 Dreams released two weeks after, so NOBODY I asked had any idea who you were. I took a chance, went down to the stage early afternoon and damn was I rewarded. There are segments in this song where you can just TELL they were meant for Mikkel's clean vocals. You guys had some excellent synergy working together back in the day. When a band mixes growls and clean vocals the standard is one female and one male singer, Mercenary was the first band I found filling both roles with different guys and it just clicked in a way I never experienced before. I wish you all the best of luck in all the work you put into this passion project paying off, and perhaps one day I'll see you on stage again. It still pains me my copy of Everblack misses Kral's signature because I had borrowed it to a tardy friend and next time I saw Mercenary you were sadly already gone. Best wishes from Germany, keep the dream alive.

2023: The Year of the Firesoul..?

This band was awesome until 2009, the line-up change killed Mercenary for good. What remains is a joke, unfortunately.
