when i was in montreal 4 weekend at my gramas house we went to see this band in the venue where they were playing the music and so good the opener was cheesey so-called punk with no confrontation against the commercialized capitalist burgoisie but when theeese guys came upon the stage I was was so bedazzled, so enthralled with their captivating performance that I almost lost control of my body and had to sacrifice it to the music. There's really no way to describe it, really. It's a shame that they broke up a while back because I really enjoy their shit. Fuck. rankidc

It's the idea of divorcing from whatever they think to be the "normal". But on the other hand....I do think there is a wiff of pretentiousness but that's normal with folks in bands outside of what is considered to be "mainstream"
