@ well it's not old, primarily to see the older pumps on the run is a lot less common, Dewsbury is a fairly new pump so people aren't as interested

@@nickyevans83 I believe it's a way for the service to save money as well as also allowing for more crew managers, stations like Leeds (and all double pump stations) now evidently have 2 CM's and a WM. However a lot of places no rarely have them on the run

@@johncoppard1170 which service do you work for? The service has the ability to speak to the engineers at E1 and get them changed, the light setup is visible enough to be seen

@@yorkshire9998 East Sussex., the first 3 pu,mps turned up 209 all flashing at once. These were changed and the light bar on all new pumps (14) since then are configured the same so that each side of the bar flashes alternately with the grill and rear blues doing the same. Ie left, right, left, right, and so on. Look its a personal preference but it looks like the easy option has been taken. It's not personal.

@@yorkshire9998 We have had 17 new pumps & 2 Technical Rescue Unts from E-one since 2019 (16 of them have CAFS) and all have that blue light configuration. Before that our pumps were built by JDC. (2004 - 2017) and Saxon before that. Our fleet has been Volvo since the early 90s, Currently in build at E-one - 3 Pumps, 2× 37mtr ALPS and 1 water carrier, by the end of 2026 all stations in the county would of received a new pump. Including all on call stations.

Agreed, it's dazzling for other road users and increases the amount of "dark" time. Clearly a lot of money is being spent on the lighting so you'd think they'd take the time to set them up effectively.

Typically with a lot of the stations I go to, I am waiting 1-2 hours for a job. This one was pot luck as just as I pressed the buzzer for the station I heard the bells going in the background for the job.

It was, we have 6x 2017 plates & 6x 2012 plates! All with the fleet numbers 3100 - 3111

@@yorkshire9998 it normally says driver training units on them, the newer ones defo do, i know we had some old West mids / east mids dcas in stock that are 3*** fleet numbers

@@YorkshireBeanieyeah Yorkshires the same - 31XX is the Driver Training Fleet Numbers, we only have a selection of like 10-12 which are still in green, the rest are in white

@@Bob-bo8ik Primarily because of the risk posed with football matches / the risk of fights means that police have to be present incase anything kicks off - at the end of the day you don't want up to 30,000 people in a mass fight outside the stadium

@@JL-rx6hl because of the risk to the away teams, West Yorkshire Police have numerous Roads Policing Units & Bikes so only 5 being taken up is pretty small scale in comparison to other services

@@elliotframpton3073 that's what Is expected of the crew interms of their time to turnout, live within 5 minutes of station, drive down and get on the pump

that was reckless driving, I mean, the police car overtook on a curve, I know that when you are with emergency lights and sirens on, people should get out of their way, but that's reckless

It's always been a two pump station! Unfortunately the Second Pump was over in Wakefield for training

@@shaunflanagan8735 Wakefield has the 45M whereas Huddersfields is only 32M!

@@shaunflanagan8735 I 100% agree! Other than the new CLM 4x4's we haven't had any new appliances since Bradford/Leeds alp start and end of 2019 so very nice to see!
