Big Bend is an amazing place. I can't wait to get back out there.
Yes, a lot of great hiking. If you can carry the necessary water, overnight trips are spectacular.
Absolutely gorgeous work my friend. This trail looks and feels amazing!
Thanks a lot!
My calfs hurt for three days afterwards, haha. I really wanted to go up to top of Emory Peak.
Great
Buddy couldn't go with me on this one
Park rules, you wouldn't want to attract a hungry mountain lion...
Spending wasted money
See ya Saturday!
More Buddy
Thank you for posting this video without the music. This is a gem of a trailer build video! I am interested in watching this build start to finish and see how it rides on a road trip.
Thanks for the kind words. Trailer did great on my three month trip. All systems worked as built. It towed fine other than being a rolling brick. Thinking about installing some sort of deflector on front.
Great lookin pickup. Bumper looks clean. How are you liking your auxiliary tank, so far?
Auxiliary tank is great. When I am somewhere with cheap gas I fill it and transfer fuel to tank in states with higher fuel costs. Getting it mounted securely isproblematic. As far as the bumper goes, the main component was the hidden winch bracket and the nudge bar was inexpensive but inadequate as far as protection goes. It became the trucks Achilles heal. It reduces approach angle. I am wanting to remove it and build a custom low profile unit that can withstand a beating.
I wanted to watch your video but the music was overpowering the words.
I posted another video without the music. Thanks
Shut the music off while your talking!!!!!!!!
I posted another video without the music. Thanks for commenting.
Great build
Thank you for the heads up no music. I was able to follow along in uninterrupted bliss😊. Which is why I watched it to the end and thumbs up it too👍. I do neither when I have to mute or use closed caption. I'm old school and remember the days when a person had a choice to A)watch something. B)stop watching something C) decide for themselves it's time for some music. Unfortunately the spontaneity to live life like that is no more nowadays in these youtube videos. What's good for us has been taken over by whoever decides what's best. And in those instances I do my best, and I'm out.
Get rid of your music please
Yip music too loud, can't hear what your saying. Looks good tho.
Kill the music and repost
Music is soooo disruptive and extremely loud compared to your voice.
That's the perfect size squareback camper ! Not too big NOT TOO SMALL ! Great design ! 👍👍
Thanks! 👍
I wanted to watch your video but the music was overpowering the words. Bummer.
Me too. Gave up on it after less than a minute.
Gorgeous!
Looks good. :}
There's Buddy
Yeah Buddy!
Big fun!
Buddy doesn't seem very interested in YouTubing...
Get him Buddy
Texas on this side, Mexico on that side. Not Rio Grande between.
Do the larger tires impact your speedometer?
Yes, I purchased the Forscan device and made changes to correct. While in their I also deactivated seat belt alarm and tried to turn on some other things but my base models gauge cluster couldn't display changes.
Nice truck
Thanks 👍
I really like the king cab. To me it is more appealing than the crew. My Ranger is a king cab XLT, which is a rare find.
I want one
I also have the king cab in ruby red. Like it over the crew.
What make is this?
Do the oem ranger steel wheels come as 16s or 17s?
Comes with 16s, the ones I am using are 17s from stock bronco black diamond.
got my 2022 ranger xl fx4 same body and color as yours. I ordered it and got what I wanted exactly. the tacoma you can't order. I have never liked chevy unless someone else makes them. jeep was to pricey and 5ft bed. the 2.3 ecoboost has been used in lots of things and still used. tacoma v6 is going out of production. I have 2000 miles on mine and happy with it
The truck is beautiful.
Thanks
What rear diff skid did you go with?
Rough country. Originally designed for jeep.
@@bryguybuilds3964 did you have to modify it or did it bolt on directly?
@@Blue_Ranger_Overlanding the bolts securing on pinion needed a spacer which I used a nut.
Looks good man did you have to do any trimming to fit 33 I have a 2021 ranger stx wondering if I can fit 33s with just a leveling kit with no cutting
Because I used 255 80 17s on stock wheel (55 offset) they are just taller. I removed crash bars and plenty of room for even 34s. I have a 2.25in lift and you should be good with leveling kit.
Tires specs?
Wildpeak at3w 255 80 17. It is an e load tire. I believe 8 ply.
Nice. Schrock went out of business so even less options.
Where did you get that front push bumper again ?
Bought from American Trucks. It's a Barricade HD stubby front bumper with hidden winch. I paid $460 for it. Thanks for watching videos.
I will add that I selected this bumper mainly for the hidden winch components which are hd. The bumper itself is not as heavy as I would have wanted. The hidden winch trays run like $300 so for another $100 or so I also got the bumper parts. I figure if I am wheeling that hard that it gets damaged I will upgrade to a proper front bumper. Hope this helps.
Nice tank, thanks for sharing!
Looks awesome.
Thanks
Does doing that lift kit yourself void your warranty?
What the dealership will tell you is that ANY modifications not done by ford that contributes to the failure of a part will not be covered under warranty. So, any suspension part failure would not be covered (for example: ball joints, bushings, axle shafts, tie rod ends maybe even steering rack). Being responsible for those parts are a given when you are lifting and running larger tires. That's why the Tremor package is so lame for warranty issues. My thinking is that this generation of ranger is 10 years old and defects in parts hopefully have been worked out. The drivetrain warranty shouldn't be effected by anything I'm doing. My rock sliders are being delivered tomorrow. Once I get them installed I plan to make a video highlighting all the improvements along with the costs. Total cost is definitely under $40k. I will also make an additional video comparing my build to a Tremor. In my opinion everything I've done is way better than the Tremor with the exception of maybe the front struts, which I can upgrade down the road. I will say that the OME kit rides fantastic. Now, I have the time, space, tools and know how to do these mods. If you lacked any of these, the Tremor would be a better option. In reality if the Tacoma had a better engine and transmission the TRD Offroad version would be turnkey minus a tire upgrade and probably the best way to go. Thanks for comment and watching. My videos will start transitioning to the camper build and adventure videos.
Wow, It's looking good. I think you're on to something.
Thanks for the video. I'm looking into ordering a 2023 XL but can't decide between a supercab or super crew. Any suggestions?
For me, it's just my dog and I. I didn't need the extra passenger space. Plus I know I will want the extra foot of truck bed. One suggestion if you end up getting the Supercab is the back seat delete. I did not and after removing rear seat bottoms I then went to remove the seat backs and when removed the back header is unfinished/bare. With the back seat delete the header would be finished. I didn't want to wait for next gen truck because I don't care for all the electronic gadgets. If you are wanting the most safety equipment possible it might be worth waiting on next gen. They will most likely open the order banks for the next generation truck by June. Even after I get the sliders installed I will still be under $40k invested. I love the truck and am looking forward to wheeling it. Thanks for the comment.
Nice tires
Thanks 👍
I’ll be interested what kind of fuel mileage you will be averaging
The truck has only 500 miles and in break-in period. Computer says anywhere between 22-25 mostly back road driving. I am planning a trip over thanksgiving holiday which round trip should be around 2000 miles of mostly highway driving and should get good idea of actual gas mileage. That's part of the reasoning behind wanting to run the 255/80 r17's. Get the ground clearance without the extra rolling resistance and weight associated with a 285/75 r17. The suspension, wheels and tires will be done sometime after the thanksgiving trip which will answer your question which I believe is what you are asking. Tires that came with truck are bridgestone dueler h/t's. Crappy for offroad but should produce highest possible mileage on highway. I'm curious too. Hopefully highway mileage after build still be at least 20. Thanks for the comment.
I ordered similarly to the supercab except fx4 in December. hopefully get it this month
Wow, I wonder why it's taking this long. When I ordered mine in February it was truck month and my order had only 1 ranger order ahead of me. Small dealer. Yeah, I think they will stop building 22 model years soon. I haven't driven truck much but I love it.
