Original music by Tommy Marcinek.

My music is extremely eclectic in that there is no specific genre of music characterized by a particular style, form, or content in which the music can be catorgorized. For instance, you will find songs like rock (or instrumental rock), a love ballad, instrumental easy-listening, bluesy stuff, Middle Eastern sounding songs specifically written for BellyDancers, disco-sounding, club-sounding, you name it. So, whatever your musical tastes, chances are you might find something that you'll find interesting, and hopefully, want to download and play really loud continuously until your neighbors call the cops (just kidding, of course).

Editing Multiple Drum Tracks in a single Multichannel Track! Easy as cake!
มุมมอง 26หลายเดือนก่อน
There are videos on how to "record" onto a multichannel track, but what if you already have a bunch of drum tracks that you want to easily edit? We all know how tedious it can be working with 10, 12 or more drums tracks. Making sure you don't accidentally cut out parts (even if you group them), is a pain. Well, this problem is easily eliminated in Reaper. Editing drums in a single track, and th...
Rattling My Brain - song by Tommy Marcinek
มุมมอง 42หลายเดือนก่อน
Well, the story is rather long for this song, i.e., why I named it "Rattling My Brain." But, needless to say, it's done and I'm quite happy with it. My lifelong friend and multi-instrumentalist, Jerry Mack plays the organ and knocks it out of the park! He's got an old Leslie cabinet setup that is second to none! Listen to that incredibly clear and warm sounding organ. THAT's the Leslie cabinet,...
Is "Macro Evolution" a fairy-tale? Yep! See why, here!
มุมมอง 312 หลายเดือนก่อน
Is "Macro Evolution" a fairy-tale? Yep! We all see "micro" changes in "features" of every organism on Earth, and it's known as "Micro Evolution." But, there is NO SUCH THING as "Marco Evolution" which suggests that "major" morphological changes in body plans exists, or has EVER existed in all of nature, since the beginning. Darwin's finches beaks are an example of micro-evolution. But, in all o...

They've been telling you that the universe is 13.8 BILLION years old. BUT NOW they are going to have to CHANGE all of that because of the James Webb telescope NEW data! The Big Bang is a lie and this video should help you to understand that you can be easily manipulated (fooled) into believing lies because they just make them so convincing - so filled with authoritative "scientific consensus." ...

Rosa Rocks - A Rock Instrumental featuring two renowned musicians, Rosa Avila and Jerry Mack

Rosa Rocks - A Rock Instrumental featuring two renowned musicians, Rosa Avila and Jerry Mack! I wrote this song based upon Rosa's drum beat (she's a world renowned session drummer). She rocks it! Together with her inspiring, solid, in-the-pocket beat, and Jerry Mack's organ (Jerry's a stellar multi-instrumentalist), they take this simple, quirky little song into a place that I never imagined. Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar Changed Its Formula? NOT!
มุมมอง 9Kปีที่แล้ว
Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar, for some odd reason, is being targeted by some as having changed their formula by adding water to it. ALL ACV products have water added in order to dilute the vinegar to the 5% acidity industry standard. So, this video debunks that nonsense.

Funky Beat I played on a Doumbek! FREE loop of audio!
It’s been recorded by dozens of people in this day and age, it’s not fake, it’s how life works. We aren’t the powerful all being and there’s millions of lost species, we don’t have all the information to even confirm it’s fake😂.
Thank you so much for this very informative theory and demo about how to play the zills!!! I am so grateful!
Thank you very much for your kind words. You don't know how much I appreciate it. I've been meaning to do so many other videos but just don't have the time. 😢 But again I am glad you enjoyed this little video.

Tommy Marcinek ...this a ia a great track.. i followed you here from N1M to hear this again.. im diggin it alot ... not alot of ways to review you on N!M im kinda warey of them anyways... Great woork by everyone here .. i subscribed as wel lso i can keep in touch and see updates ... peace scotty / pyroFH
Hey Scott, thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I truly appreciate your kind words! Yeah, my good friend Jerry and I are a bit skeptical about N1M as well. I mean, there are legitimate artists on there (I have discovered many), but the amount of claimed streaming/listening/hits seem way too fishy to us. Rosa is an amazing drummer! She toured with Andy Williams for many years (here's her with him a few years back - th-cam.com/video/5oyul5HwcQ0/w-d-xo.html) and she's a total pro! She's doing something off-Broadway now I think....she's always playing!!! Plus, she's a sweetheart. I am so privileged to have her playing on one of my tunes! Ditto my friend Jerry Mack (www.n1m.com/jerrymackband), a true talented multi-instrumentalist! That organ you hear in this song is a real Hammond B3, with the full setup/leslie/etc. Thanks again for your kind words. Tom
The best memories!
🌹💙 During the first half of the tutorial, when you demonstrated without zills-only using your fingers, I was becoming disappointed; but with the second half of the video-wow, just awesome-totally awesome! Thank you! 🙏
Thanks so much! Yeah, I tried to keep the first part short because it's technical, but I wanted to cover it. Looking back I should have at least shown a brief clip of that second part up front. 😊
@@TommyMarcinek 🌹💙 It’s perfectly okay! Those who are really interested will stay with it! 😉
Just brilliant to listen and watch and have a go Thankyou
Gina, thank you so much! I'm glad you liked my video and I hope you enjoy playing Zills!!!
this helped me a lot! i was doubting myself with zills but this made me more confident
Great! I'm so glad my Zill video was helpful to you. Thanks so much. Enjoy playing them. Make it fun!
Very nice remix! I did one for her too. No doubt she is a very talented lady.
I love it! I just want to dance!
Thank you so much! I am working on another seven beat rhythm full song, but this time it's going to be a western jazz fusion combined with Middle Eastern sounds and modern Western sounds....drums, bass, synths, etc. I think you'll like it.
There is a curse of poverty on my family a medium told me this many years ago.
I am a descendant of the Mathews family and have a book of the Earls of Llandaff and Thomastown Castle and my family seal.I wish to contact Joyce Burgess Bartlett.
Thankyou for this easy to follow lesson, wonderful.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. :-)
Omg. I love this. Whenever I bring this up in a zill lesson they look at me like I’m from out of space. Great lesson. And camera angle is perfect- mirrors what we see on our own hands.
Thanks so much Stefanie! Actually, to get that angle, I literally had to wrap my arms around the camera. So, I had my hands in front of the camera which was practically right up against my chest, and my arms were wrapping around it. LOL! It's hard enough playing Zills without all that. Heee heeee!!! Thanks again! Happy dancing!!!! Also, check out all my FREE music on my website. Lots of Belly Dance stuff, but also lots of other genres, some you may like, others you may not. But I've made all my music Free to download and share with no restrictions. All you need is an email address to access all downloads and you can just make up one if you want. I NEVER, EVER contact anyone on that email list. It's just not my thing. I write and record music for the love of it only. My website: tommymarcinek.com or TweetTweetMusic.com Lots of Belly Dancers have even used some of my non-Belly Dance music to dance Belly Dance! Also, check out my drum rhythms on here. Just do a search with my name tommy marcinek in the search bar and lots of stuff should come up. :-)
Which is the nomenclature for fastest rythm?
Please see the video, where it shows in the very beginning, the breakdown of the notation, i.e., quarter notes, eighth notes, and then sixteenth notes. That's all you need to know to play the rhythms at any tempo. Thanks. Tom
more zill lessons please! this was beautiful!!!
Beautiful, that was poetry in motion!
What a cool reply!! Thank you so much!!!!! Ditto the comment above. I will try to do another Zill video. :-)
@@TommyMarcinek Yay!!! I’m so glad you’d consider it! After your video I’m hearing the potential for zills in all my favorite songs. you’re a wonderful inspiration. I am a baby beginner at this. But I always believe with any creative endeavor, it’s great to play free and intuitively, and then learn method. That’s just me
@@mellio9077 :-) Well, I started at the beginning, using simple language (well hopefully....lol) and focusing on the beginner. However, as you know, I did some improvisation with them to illustrate how cool Zills are and just how much you can do with them! You can make music with them!!! I am so happy that you liked my little video. I'm so busy with all kinds of stuff, so I don't know when I can get around to doing another one of these. I do audio multi-track mixing/editing (for my songs and for other bands), and video editing and projects too. Plus, I'm working on a short film now that I am producing, and video work for a project that my family is hoping will go viral. So, my plate is quite full. But I will try. :-)
@@TommyMarcinek wow that’s really amazing!!! well I’m a new subscriber so I’ll keep an eye out for your new videos. I thought your zill lesson was perfect, and I like your teaching style. I like how you covered the method (it made it easy to catch on), and how you went straight into improvisation with it. The sound was beautiful and it was really inspiring.
@@mellio9077 Thanks again for your kind words! Tommy

I like your background music! Can i find it somewhere for practice use?
I had just used a loop I found somewhere for the background....I'll see if I can find it again and send it to you. I also have all my music FREE on my website....lots of stuff there related to Belly Dance and even some hybrid sort of East meets West music, etc. Glad you liked the video. I love the zills!!!
@@TommyMarcinek Thank you! I will sure check your website! I am practicing zills, i love it!
Thanx
What if you are left handed?
Even if you are left-handed, I still would recommend you playing them the way you see on the video. My brother is left-handed and learned to play the bass guitar "righty" and he wound up being one of the best bass players in NY back in the 70's. You will develop the proper "muscle memory" to play no matter if you are lefty or righty. However, if you want, just reverse the instructions as far as what I am explaining and don't really look at the video, just use the opposite hands for the playing if you want to play them lefty. I hope this information is helpful. Thanks for your comment. Happy "zilling." :-)
Tommy Marcinek What about at least mentioning the lefty righty dilemma just so people know you are aware of this.
@@levanahbatlila859 That's a good idea. I'll put your comment and my reply in the notes section, but I can't edit the video now that it's published as is, etc.
Good idea to show the zill patterns for also left handed people so that they can follow directly.
Thank you! This is incredibly helpful! 🙏🏻❤
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it and that my video was able to help out. Happy "zilling." :-)
Excellent demonstration, I shall be using your example to show to my GCSE music students to explain use of irregular time signatures in Greek music.
Philip, thank you very much!!! Glad you liked it. Please share it freely. Peace. Tom
thank you so much i didnt understand how to do it before, i just go with the music..it's more clear now i wana be good at it your video is so helpful..
Thank you so much for the kind words. I really wanted to do this....make a video that is very basic but that also has enough music theory in there to help it make sense to those who want to know a bit more of the technical aspect of playing them. :-)
What brand zills are you using? They sound really nice!
Saroyan Zills. I love them. The do have a great sound to them!
Saroyan Concert series....they are really nice and loud! :-)
best most informative video yet for a beginner like myself!
