Don’t clamp on top tube. Clamp on the saddle tube to avoid crack or over torque.

You could put pieces of cardboard on your bike, flapping in your spokes when you ride, also makes cool sounds

Don't do this because the engagement of your hub will definitely change.

as a mechanic i would NOT do this, these are wear parts they require grease for their longevity clearing that grease out is going to wear that free hub out in no time

Love hope stuff, but my personal experience is that the bearings are made of butter and the factory lubricant is such a small amount that the bearings have to be taken apart and greased properly before installing. Also making your hub louder will increase wear on your springs and pulls. Bending the springs like that could cause the spring's to snap and cause damage to the internals. But hey! Everyone has different options and preferences

Hey, cool build. Going to build my own Chinese carbon gravel soon. Would you recommend using carbon paste for the pressfit bottom brackets as well?

Why would you want louder hubs it's annoying to be loud. As a mechanic and engineer I wluldnt recommend wd40 or cleaning the grease away. A lighter grease and plenty of it will suppress the sound and prelomg the life of the hub. If you want loud hubs get some e13 hubs. There insainly loud !!!! Don't copy this video heh

The crazy thing is some people do this......a triumph of misguided vanity over mechanical common sense. Not sure why there was thick grease around the pawls in the first place.....don't do that either unless the manufacturer specifically says. Usually a small amount of oil. I use a runny semi- fluid grease to deaden the noise....partly as I don't want to sound like these " wallies"

I'd say that was either already cracked a while before and barely hanging on,or it's a manufacturer fault.either way, it's likely you'll get it warrantied,or a cheaper crash replacement.what frame is it?it's hard to tell in this video
