Washington State Route 302
Driving on Washington State Route 302 between Purdy and Allyn. A nice drive across the Key Peninsula and around the North Bay. (Not to mention it's a nice alternative to paying the toll on the Narrows Bridge. lol)

US Route 12 - Grand Mound to Elma

Taking a drive on the section of US Route 12 that runs between I-5 and SR-8 (Grand Mound to Elma) in Washington State. Along the way, we will drive through the communities of Rochester, Oakville, and Malone, the Chehalis Reservation - and past a bit of farmland. The inspiration for this route was to avoid a construction zone on our usual route home. You may see a few state route shields instead...
Seattle Waterfront Tunnel

Going through the SR-99 tunnel under the Seattle waterfront. The tunnel opened in 2019, replacing the old Alaskan Way Viaduct, which was damaged by the 2001 Nisqually Quake. Come along for the ride!

Driving Through Fort Sumner, New Mexico

We were passing through Fort Sumner, NM. When we saw the Billy the Kid Museum, we just had to stop and visit. While there, we were told about his gravesite, which was also a must-see. Photos are included. Come along for the ride!
Driving Through Hood River, Oregon

Taking a little off-the-freeway drive through Hood River, Oregon, a picturesque town in the Columbia Gorge. At the end, we stopped at a restaurant along the riverside. Don't mind the fat finger that got in the photos. I wonder who would do that (cough, cough). Come along for the ride!

Washington SR 112: Strait of Juan de Fuca Highway

Washington State Route 505

A drive on SR 505 which runs from its junction with SR 504 east of Toutle to its junction with I-5 near Winlock. The road passes through the town of Toledo. It is a common route for tourists coming from the north to visit Mt. St. Helens. Come along for the ride!
Catching a Train at Multnomah Falls

Not to ride the train, of course. But you know about the tracks that go over the pedestrian walkway between the falls and the parking lot? I've always wanted to videotape a train crossing over it. When I saw the train off the side of the freeway in Portland, I knew my chance had come. lol
Washington SR 113: Burnt Mountain Road

Burnt Mountain Road... That's what Google Maps call it, so that's what I'm using. lol. SR 113 is a short state highway that runs from a junction with SR 112 near Clallam Bay to a junction with US 101 at Sappho. Come along for the ride!

Hurricane Ridge Road

It's change some now. Video must be a couple years old. There is now a Taco Bell, Arbys large Love's truck stop and a second Maverick going in.
It is a couple years old. We went through while on a road trip to Texas. We like getting off the interstates and visiting old towns.

@jbthor9032 to protect the privacy of passenger conversations. TH-cam also blocks the video if it detects copyrighted content, such as music - even if it's a song playing on the radio. I tried adding songs to the soundtrack, but TH-cam dinged me several times over it.
Ellensburg to Yakima through the canyon is one of the best roads in Washington!
It is! There's been so many times I've gone on the freeway. This time, it was, if not now, when? So I took that route instead.

OMG!! That prick made you slow down 8MPH for a few SECONDS!!! What A JERK!!! He was obviously drunk or high the TERRIBLE way he was driving. I mean, what kind of PRICK does that!? You should have called the cops!!! I may lose sleep after watching this horrendous act of DRIVING!!!
The cammer ran the red light to get to the ferry. If you watch the video, the truck was to the car's right. The car's light turned red so the truck's light must have turned green. So the car actually tried to cut in front of the truck, but the truck didn't allow the car to do it.
The cammer was waiting to make a left turn. There was no break in traffic until the light changed. Did you want the driver to wait until the next green light, only to cause a bigger backup behind the cammer?
@@thedashcamzone6200 Yes, the law requires that left-turners have a green arrow to have the right-of-way. There's certainly no valid claim to the right-of-way on a red light. It's merely a courtesy to let someone that miscalculates their light proceed ahead. It definitely wasn't a necessity to let the cammer go out of turn, though, because the truck was able to exercise his right-of-way without incursion. Regardless, the cammer was more discourteous by bogarting the intersection on a stale yellow light, after clearly missing the entire green arrow cycle, knowing that oncoming traffic made it impossible to safely clear the intersection before the light turned red. Since it's recommended that drivers stop on yellow, unless unable, the cammer, who was already at a standstill, had no real basis for refusing to wait until their arrow turned green again.
Yep, and somewhere out there, there's a dashcam video of the truck driver showing that someone actually ran a red, in order to cut in front of them at the ferry... since the truck's light was green. Simple process of elimination.
What was the point of this video? Show it to the ferry workers, not on youtube!
Bullspit-you made a left turn when the signal was red. The other vehicle proceeded straight when it was his turn to do so. You are a liar.

@@Baribrotzer Except he failed to enter the intersection on green, therefore he deliberately ran the red. If you fail to enter on green, then you are on the hook for 'blocking the intersection,' which is a traffic violation. The traffic signal is absolute at determining right-of-way. Also, there are a few seconds _after_ the red before cross-traffic gets the green. This wasn't even a close call. Just because this 'happens all the time' doesn't confer the right-of-way. People that block intersections on red do so at their own risk. You won't find any exceptions to the red light law.
@@mvpfocus It's common practice and allowed to enter an intersection when making a left turn and waiting in the intersection for a chance to turn, sometimes waiting until the light has actually changed and oncoming traffic has stopped. This is allowed when the traffic isn't backed up on the road the person is turning onto so they won't actually be blocking the intersection. If the being turned onto is backed up, then yes you should stay out of the intersection until there is space to enter the road. In this case traffic wasn't backed up for the left turner and so it's perfectly acceptable for them to enter the intersection and wait as long as they enter the intersection on a green light.
@@krissimons1339 Except, they failed to enter the intersection on a green light. So, they no longer have plausible deniability for running the red light. As much as people think running a red to turn left is OK, it's not found anywhere in the law. It's simply a courtesy to allow someone who is stuck to get unstuck. However, there are laws against blocking an intersection; and, entering when the light isn't even green, without the right-of-way, would run afoul of that statute. The fact remains that the green light is absolute at determining right-of-way. The traffic to the right did not cut; _it was their turn on their green light._
1:09 the exposure of the ferry worker makes this incredibly selfish move very dangerous as well.
The ferry worker had an incredulous look on his face. The camera didn't capture it because he dropped out of range as I drove by.
