Quarry Rats

Valley Radio Control Model Club is a new aged model club that was conceived and founded in February / March 2005. The club is situated at the old quarry site off Umhlatuzana Road, Sea View, in Durban (South Africa). The quarry was filled with water many years ago and is now a large expanse of water. The cliff face on the other side of the quarry is home to some amazing bird-life including the African Fish Eagle. The club also boasts a wide 180m long grass runway. It's not a bowling green (yet), but we're working on it...

there's nothing wrong in electric boats but seeing nitro powered boat racing still alive and kicking is so satisfying.
These are gas boats not nitro.....

Definitely. I can't remember what size LiPo I used on it but there should be enough space inside for 5000+ Mah...

hi there, ive just put a set of floats on my old hangar 9 alpha 40 trainer. do u think my asp 61 fourstroke would be enough power for this plane on floats or would I need something bigger? regards aidan mcatamney
I think this plane has a ASP 52 2-stroke on it so your 61 4-stroke should be more than sufficient...

Not sure what motor this guy was using, but I know it's one of the BIG boys that HobbyKing sell. 120amp ESC, 3x 5000mah 6s lipo's and a 22x10 prop if I remember correctly...
don't worry, I removed all the useable stuff from it. this was just the foam body that we burned at the end...
