Good deckhand.hope he tipped out well that day.
What's your favorite black Bart lure out of all of them?
Nice video and nice « test subject » !! Did this lure have a hook during this test ?
Yes Patrick ..... on the 10th try she got hooked. Small marlin maybe 120-130 lbs with a 11/0 size hookset is always a challenge. What was interesting is how many times that fish came charging back to the Ascension Pro Metal.

beaux poissons. Mais ne JAMAIS mettre un wahoo vivant sur le pont , c'est comme se balancer un scalpel énervé dans les pattes. j'ai déja vu, et eu de graves coupures ...
Awesome , Well Done. Great video ,enjoyed watching👍👍
Nice ok!
Do you use the same pound shock leader for 80lb class as you do for 130lb class tackle? If so or if not what pound shock leader do you use?
Ever tried a constrictor knot to tie a lure skirt? Its easy and very, very strong. Its the one used to tie speargun bands and it should easily hold a lure skirt! Anyway, thanks for sharing, very helpful video!
We just bought your light tackle wahoo kit and I was wondering to u rig your wahoo lures naked or do u put a ballyhoo in it?
Which Black Bart lures were you using?
RH ... We were using the Brazil Projet on our short flat line and used at 48 oz weight on that bait. Then Crooked Island Candy on our long flat with a 32 oz weight and Crooked Island in our center position with no weight. Speed is around 13-14 knots.
leader guy is the reel/real master!
It's real systematically pro-fishing! I never fishing big game on sea, but looking on this video is very nice time for me. THANK YOU VERY MUCH MISTER BART!!!!! Wow, it's my dream...
BlackBartLures need to know more about the rod on the vid
I SEE THE ROD WHO APPEAR IN THE WAHOO BASIC VIDEO LOOKS AWESOME UNLIMITED ROD,, AS I HEAR IN THE VIDEO,, BUT WHAT BRAND OF ROD IT IS,,, WHO MADE IT PLEASE
what class tackle do u have behind,,?? awesome rod, i think 130 or unlimited? awesome video
Big Mahalos for some good advice.
you can also put a skirt on a 24oz weight with a hook on the back and they'll hit it too. or paint the weight orange and black.
Real pro handling of big 'hoos. My biggest is 70 lbs. Mostly 20--40. Fun anyway!!
What make is the boat u were using in the vid @blackbartlures

I'm a big fan I watch the vid of you guys getting those slobs over and over awesome video! I made a short one pls check it out thanks for the response!!
Thanks for your view, yes bent butts would certainly help if your trolling at higher speeds. Another option could be to change out your rod holders to 30 degree or just run your bait back a little further. But you are correct bent butts is the way to go. Thanks again for your comments Emanuell and great fishing!
Thanks for the thumbs up on our videos. We are working on more now, more in line with all the little tips and tricks to help our customers improve their spreads. Thanks again for your support.
Nice video answered all question you forgot to tell ppl they need bent butt rods or the weight will skip on top or the water
Love this video I catch them on planers too
You guys don't know nathing!
what speed are you trolling?
What kind of boat do you fish?
can u put a video up on how you set your marlin spread up and fish it
can you guys make more videos I love them and your lures. They are awesome marlin lures especially the cabo prowler
Yes we use mono on our line to a 400 windon leader with attached 500 lb snap swivel. Trolling lead to a 20 ft shock leader to the lure which has 15 inches of 600 lb cable coming out of front the head.
do you use mono line for trolling
Thank you for watching our video and your comment. I suppose we are no different than anyone else .... there can be pandemonium but if you keep it simple it's allot easier to manage and your less likely to make mistakes. As a wise old sea captain told me once ...keep it simple kid :) !!
Souldiver ... we are running Black Bart Brazil Projet in the short corner about 60 feet back. This large sized bait typically used as a teaser was an experiment to see if the big bait big fish theory held water. After 6 years, we see the bigger fish on the big bait about 70% of the time. The other 2-lines of the spread are Bart, Crooked Island Candies.
thanks alot 4 the info ...ive always been loking 4 a good high-speed setup and urs seem to be the best ive seen so far and from the looks of it pretty dam effective.....got a charter t'morrow morning maybe i just might try it....thanks again
We run 3 -lines as you can see in the video. Our short flat line starts about our 3rd wave or about 60 feet with a 48 oz trolling lead. 4th wave flat line is at around 75-80 ft with a 32 oz lead ... 48 oz on rough days like this one. The center line without a weight using our Crooked Island Candy is around 100 ft. Speed averages out to around 13 knots. We had to keep the camera up on the bridge because it was rough that day but those small fish you see were 50-70 lbs.... Yes pretty nice size
how far do u run those lines ?....do u run them long /short...jus curious cuz boy those are some real whoppers
Hey Jack, I am jealous of your tuna door and no gaff. That makes all your wahoo slingers, including the big 108 bruiser! Nice work.
At what speed do you run this lure?
Normally we run (3) lines starting on the 3rd wave which is around 55-60 ft, 4th wave 70-75 ft and 5th wave 90-95 ft. Speed for us is around 13 knots
great video... thanks for the info
how much line would you put out on those three lines (Feet)
yu guys using the san sal candy? PS you got a good deck hand there capt
