How did you crash at such a shockingly slow pace..?

way too much input is going into those bars mid corner. The front end is making 5 or 6 corrections every corner, the bike looks incredibly unstable.

Body before brakes. Look at how upset the chassis gets when you move your weight over AFTER getting on the brakes @ 6:14 The whole bike shakes and the front end destabilizes. Body position before you go to the brakes.

This actually looks like the race track owners fault, they should pay for the bike.

You were rinding really well, the extra corner speed pushed you off line and loaded the (a possibly too soft) front. I’ve just ordered a 660 for tack use myself. Hope you get out there soon.

Im curious why they red flagged that session. I run race control for our track day provider here and the only times ill red flag a session is if the rider is down, bike is on track or if there is fluid on track. Bike was in a safe location, didnt see any fluid and rider was ok.

i know its a bit late, but you have to hang WAY more with your body so the bike doesnt have to lean all the way. i heard you scraping your pedal in alot of corners, where if you actually did move your body (not just your head, looking at the shadows) the bike wouldnt have to make those crazy leaning angles...

I know it's been a year now and you've probably gone over this video a ton of times and you might not even see my comment, but... Here is my take on why you lowsided here.. I know you pointed out a spot in the pavement, but from listening to your throttle and watching the tach... You were off the throttle. Meaning, you were "trail braking" without consciously trail braking. The front end was loaded when the bike should've been on "maintenance" throttle to help transfer some of the load to the bigger rear tire and keep all the weight off the front tire. Balancing the bike and maximizing traction front to back. Ging through turn one, you should've been slightly on throttle vs. off until the apex. I actually got worried for you as I watched you go through turn one since that looks to be a higher speed corner. Glad you're okay.

How do you like the RS660? I'm in Ohio also and have been going back and forth on buying the RS and tracking it at Mid Ohio and riding again.

Get that thing tuned and open up the top end you’re missing. The Thruxton RS sounds glorious with an 8400RPM redline after tuning. Plus no top speed limiter.

On the Bright side, you can replace it with a ZX6-R.

look how his helmet stays within the frame of the windshield through the corner as he loses it. Pro riders hang their bodies off the bike so that the bike stands up. The point is to get your head to the side got your bike leaned over

Did you ever have any issues with the 660?

You ride well. Your lines are not great in my humble opinion, and it looks like it contributed to the crash (I'm also an amateur myself). The track looks very cool, but the asphalt is in terrible condition for riding in fast pace. Glad you're okay 🎉
