Thanks pastor for pointing out this truth about the need for us to pray for our leaders irrespective of what political affiliation they have or their ideological views. I told some of my Caucasian and Republican friends that God appointed President Obama for a purpose and they were mad at me (I am an African immigrant in the US). I also told my Black brothers and Democratic Party friends that President Trump was appointed by God to serve His purpose and they castigated me too 😢. You’re so spot on about this revelation and divine injunction.

Thank you pastor for this powerful lesson. I see strong similarities between King Cyrus and President Trump. They are both sinners with flaws, but still called by the Lord to do great things, not just for their own country, but also for Israel. I went to a Trump rally in his first term and Melania led the opening with the Lord's prayer. Very touching! May Lord's will be done.

I felt led to Isaiah 45 yesterday, election day. Read it then and ended up studying today and wow if Cyrus doesn't bring Trump to mind. God literally says of Cyrus "I girded thee, though thou hast not known me." That's how I felt about voting was though there's not a clear Christian candidate that there was a side that clearly will hold to more values than the other, be more likely to support not harm churches and Israel.

But as an Iranian I've should to mention not all that you've said about the king Cyrus is accurate, such as: 1) the king of Medes was the Cyrus's grandfather; Astyages who was not a good man. He has tried to kill his own daughter ( Mandane ; the princess of Medes) while she was pregnant with Cyrus the great after the dream that he had about a boy who is gonna take his kingdom and rule over him.( similar story before Jesus Christ was born) 2) God had arranged everything that Cyrus grew up with a shepherd family till he was around 7-8 years old to protect Cyrus's life. That's the reason that God called Cyrus as his shepherd. And that's why Cyrus's character was not like a self-righteous, prideful, arrogant king but he was humble,gentle, kind, compassionate and had a heart as a shepherd. 3) some believe that the reason Cyrus the great had conquered the Babylon was beacause the prophet Daniel could to talk with Cyrus the great and he did read Isaiah 45 to Cyrus. And the holy spirit led Cyrus how to enter to the Babylon. Since it was impossible to enter to the Babylon through the door or from the walls. The holy spirit led Cyrus to this divine strategy to enter to the Babylon through the river close by and open the gate for the army from the inside.of course the people didn't tey to fight with Cyrus, since they were happy to be free from their cruel babylonians king ,as you've also mentioned it. 4) God didn't chosen the Cyrus or any one of us like 150 or 200 years ago. He knew his chosen people before the foundation of the world and created every one of us uniquely to fully his divine purposes Through the life that he granted to us to cooperate with him ; as the only true living God to expand his holy kingdom on the earth.

The story of Jesus was written to steal God's people from Him and get them to worship a false God. Wisdom and biblical research is needed to understand what happened then and what is happening now. The end times from the old testament give a clear description of what will come. The abomination is set up in 42 months and he will be worshipped above God. Who died the daily sacrifices and allowed unclean food to become acceptable. Remember in maccabees the righteous people chose death over eating swine. In the end, those who eat swine will be sent to the fire with the one they follow. The abomination. Many will be ashamed. Wisdom and light are required.

This is a bit reckless... We must never assume to know the mind of God, his thoughts are not our thoughts. King Cyrus was clearly prophecy (the Lord revealed Cyrus’s decree to free the Jews to Isaiah) that's how we understand this specific person and event. We must also understand: Hosea 8:4 4 They set up kings without my consent; they choose princes without my approval. With their silver and gold they make idols for themselves to their own destruction Nothing said here means we should trust Trump. We all saw the golden idol statue of 'The chosen one' at CPAC... "...With their silver and gold they make idols for themselves to their own destruction..." Most Christians (and even many non-believers I know) feel as if this world (Satan's corrupted kingdom) is finally beginning to 'pass away' as God says it will and must, this sounds like a pretty big biblical role for Trump to play; doesn't the Bible warn of a "vile" religious hypocrite that will rise up from a very powerful kingdom claiming 'he alone can save us' in the end times? He will be: arrogant, boastful, incredibly dishonest (throws truth to the ground) destructive, sinful, lawless, greedy and magnify himself above all; does that sounds like anyone familiar? He will also have a unique relationship with Israel in the beginning, would they even put him on a coin? People are comparing him to a king and the lawless will eventually demand to be worshiped as a god-king; this man already worships himself, his entire empire is built around his name (he will come in his own name). The very same wolf that stayed publicly that he doesn't ask God for forgiveness and holds up the Bible like a cheap prop while he openly embraces sin. He even bragged that he could shoot an innocent person and his followers wouldn't care; is lawless. We're in a New covenant -Jesus is the way - yet many are going back to our old ways (thus denying Jesus [is the way]) to justify following a vile man that is doing incredible damage to the word of Christ; masquerading his wickedness as righteousness... Everything that's happening right now is warned about in our Bible and there's only one vile man savior spoken about in the end and that man is 'The lawless one'. God absolutely allows everything to happen but that doesn't mean we can turn from the teachings of Jesus to follow this "nobody loves the Bible more than me" "chosen one".
