Cajun life with Happy in South eastern Louisiana. We are both over 65 and try to stay active in the woods. Camp life full time in an rv, off grid camp in the woods, and tent travels. Pallet building. Fishing, boating, hunting, crabbing, shrimping and animal encounters on the bayous. From the snakes, alligators and insects to the beautiful pelicans and egrets, our playground is a wildlife adventure at every turn. We also share photos and videos of the amazing southern flora.

Our pallet decking was a bad idea. After a year it’s all rotting away. Very dangerous. Have to remove it and start over. So hot, but we want to get it redone before fall so that we can play in the woods. Music: Thereby Blue Steel Monkey

We used a trail camera with no results. The holes are increasing in number and size. Found some pvc pipe in a trash pile and decide to try it as a border. Happy also cooks some pork cracklin’ while he works outside.

It actually didn’t work that well with the mix I used on the video. I will buy some more and make it a stronger mix. Hope that keeps the weeds gone for a while. 😊
